[Request] Barefoot Mod

Is it possible to make a boots item that actually removes (or makes invisible) any shoes your character is wearing? I know this doesn't fit the usual "post apocalyptic" attire, but neither is a lot of the apparel I have my characters wear.

 

Is this even possible? Or maybe a mod that permanently removes all shoes from the player's character?

Because I prefer not to equip stilleto heal boots or any other kind of shoe. Combat boots or barefoot, and most of the time I just like plain barefoot. It's part of my personal lore I added to give my character a quirk.

Ah. Well, it should be easy to make a mesh for a foot, but I wouldn't know how.

We already have foot meshes. The problem is this game doesn't have a 'boot' slot like oblivion did.

So you'd really need to mod whatever armors your character wears special for your character. Which is not impossible, or even that big a job if you don't use very many. But it's not as easy as just unequipping your shoes.

Actually, if you did it by adding new addons, like tailor maid, that might not be necessary.

The boots in tailor maid go on body addon slots, which means they go right over whatever else you already have there, clipping be damned. So you'd end up with your foot mesh right inside your boot.
