kijouizm
Hello, yes, I'm a noob, sorry to bother. I've installed about 7 million mods, and now for some reason I can't get out of Ruined Temple on the Andraste's Ashes quest. Genitivi just left ahead of me, but when I try to go through the door down to the village I run straight into an invisible wall. I guessed it was Improved Atmosphere so I removed it from override - alas, no change (except everyone was naked due to modded armor). I've no idea what could be affecting it. I have Redesigned, Combat Tweaks, Dialogue Tweaks, Advanced Tactics, any and all looks-mods there are plus clothing and armor ones, JBTextures ... I can give a full list if needed, but I don't think I have any other that I can imagine would affect the game this way. I'm really sorry if I'm asking something that should be obvious or has been asked a thousand times!
DarkeWolf
If you are using Personal Annoyance Remover, try that one. It can cause issues with leaving areas now and then.Good luck
kijouizm
Thanks for the fast reply! Hmm, no, I never downloaded that one, I figured it wouldn't work with Improved Atmosphere. I tried removing JBTextures as well, still didn't make a difference. :/
DarkeWolf
Its cool, sorry that that wasnt the cause :sad:And no worries, this one doesnt happen too often, so it doesnt get asked much.K, try this. disable redesigned, combat tweaks, and advanced tactics. load up a game, telling it that it's ok to force load it without those mods. as soon as it loads up, create a new save. dont overwrite the old one, create a new one, and name it something that the game wouldnt call it. something like Ashes Clean Save, or w/e.Close it down. Restart your game, loading up the clean save, and see if it works. If so, once you are out, you can save it again, and re-enable your mods. We'll see how it goes, and then take it from there, if need be :wink:Good luck!
kijouizm
I just remembered that Combat Tweaks has PAR incorporated so I disabled it, but it still didn't work. But I'll try with all three of them - should I uninstall Redesigned or just pull it out and put it somewhere else in the meantime?
DarkeWolf
I'd go ahead and just disable it, if you can, for the meantime.
kijouizm
How do I do that? It doesn't show up in the modlist ingame nor in Modmanager, as it's in override :o
DarkeWolf
ahhhh ok. I'd never used it, so I didnt know that it was an override file. Sorry about that! Yeah, I'd remove it via modmanager then.
kijouizm
Haha, as I said it doesn't show up in Modmanager :p It comes as an .exe file, so it has it's own inbuilt installer. It extracts itself in override, and also gives you several uninstall.exe files (one for each companion plus a main one). So I'm unsure - if I just ctrl+x it and put it on my desktop for now, it might get messed up because of the uninstall-files (I've no idea how it works really), but at the same time I'd prefer not having to completely uninstall it because of the hassle of reinstalling it (you have to install one main file, one patch, and then all companions separately). Haha mods are so complicated, I wish I had never discovered them.
DarkeWolf
OMG! Now its starting to sound like I should be GLAD that I've never tried that mod. Yikes! k, I forgot about this thread. there's some more mods listed here that can cause this. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=202883 give that a look over, and see if any of that helps. As for the big nasty one... I'd cut and paste them to another portion of your hard drive, but I'd do it after you try the ones that are listed in that other thread. If ALL else fails, you can try This- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3E7UM2NBits a console cheat that lets you activate the world map anytime. Sorry it was too big for me to upload here. As always, I highly recommend virus scanning anything that you get from a link from somebody on the 'net. Not that I'd try to give you anything nasty, but I always recommend it. That, and I can't always guarentee whats gonna happen on a fileserver that I dont have admin priv's on  I really hope that one of those three options clears it up for you. I'ma off to bed, but I'll check back to see how it went for you, when I get back up
