It really depends on who is directing the movie and if the movie is going to stay close to the original game. Speaking of BioWare games, there is talk of a Mass Effect movie, so... run!

I had to vote CG, as when you go live action, the costume changes, and other movie changes can really ruin something fun in the original concept. I am a computer/comics/RPG geek, when they put out the live action for X-men, I was so hyped to see the movie, then I saw the complete rewrites of the world to make it fit in with what movies could do, and I cannot stand to be in the same house as those movies. That said, I don't mind small changes from one concept to another, hence a lot of the cartoon movies of marvel characters rock, because they don't have to deal with real world limitations, they can just focus on the story as it already exists. If you go live action/CG mix, as avatar did, you're going to end up with something that is already mostly CG anyways, and DA:O was made on computers, might as well make the movie the same way.

My choice would be for the hybrid technique they used with "300".

Live-Action filming of real people providing a real performance, then CGI-the-crap-out-of-it to make it look the way your (ok, the Director's) imagination wants it. Real facial expressions, fantasy fireballs! Best of both worlds.

I want Weta Workshop (LotR) for costumes and props, and ILM for the post-production work. (BTW: Does anyone else see a resemblance between the Hurlock Emissaries and "Lurtz", the Uruk Hai leader from the "Fellowship of the Ring" played by New Zealand actor Lawrence Makoare?)

Oh, and besides the six (different origin) versions, we'll need to have an additional six (other gender) ones!

I would like a mixture of live action and CG, lets face it though very few movies are strictly live action anymore but I would not want it to be completely CG do to the simple fact that it takes the immersion and sense of being there out of the movie and with a RPG 'Role Playing" The whole point is to immerse yourself into the character

If there is going to be a movie it will be have to be CG, live action will be more Lord of the rings and less Dragon age plus Ogren and the whole dwarf race have to be more buffed up in order to look like in the game. But a movie is the short term for progress i think that there has to be atleast a 10 season or more episode special of the whole story behind Dragon Age. There are many things that the game and the movie could not tell you unless you have read the books (and trust me those that do it are not what i would call masses). This is no new idea, a movie and a TV special afterwards is something that Lucas have been doing for a long time but i bet that the developers behind Dragon age are more aware of the full potential of the story long before this questions sits in the forum. And the Sacred Ashes trailer brilliant ignore Leliana's cheap jumps (this is Dragon age not Power Rangers), Morrigan's presto she is a spider (why would they do it anyways smoke tricks are not what i would call amazing) and Sten poor Sten i know they were searching for realism but he is no where near the giant in the game he is more like a basketball player and a bit underweight [i personally am not happy with Sten's looks in the trailer and i know some may disagree with me but it is their right :)], but the rest impressive, and as some of our fellow members have posted Avatar tech could make if a Dragon Age movie, or TV special is to be released, a blockbuster movie and if made in 3D this will be the finishing touch to a masterpiece. So i am thumbs up for the CG
