DreadWolf
Well its not pilot-able, but the mod "Enclave Commander" has a vertibird that you radio in and it comes to you. You mark where you want it to land and it will really fly in from the horizon, land and let you get in and out. It has a interior and such. Its more of a fast travel replacer, but it looks awesome calling in your own vertibird to get around. Also its just one of the many awesome features of the mod. Check it out if you haven't before, its a kewl mod. Heres the link to it -http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1410 and a link to the vertibird interior fix -http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9319 -Dread Wolf
FlCTlON
I'm working on it, though it's a lot harder than just sticking on a mesh, as you put it. And it won't be a vertibird. PLEASE tell me it's a blackhawk!

What really bummed me out about the Vertibird is that, from what I can tell.. once you call one in.. it stays there until you blow it up. So if I call it in from Big Town, fast travel in the VB to a Rivit City marker -- that VB that came to pick me up is still sitting in the middle of Big Town! Make it go away, but we're all hoping for here is that it takes us with it when it goes away! Speaking of mods from him, there's a couple with vehicles already in place which were from the same team I think? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the drivable motorcycle and drivable TANK could be a great base for future vehicle exploration. Maybe instead of the tank they had, you could plow around the wasteland in a recovered Abrams? However, in terms of flyable - it's complicated because you're not just entering a cell and the goal is to be able to observe the wasteland from above while traveling. My thought process is.. if he could get the player character to attach to a moving motorcycle (or maybe he attached the motorcycle to the player?) then maybe we could "attach" an open door blackhawk or vertibird to the player and define a new axis of movement.. make it actually piloted by the player.. or attach the player model to an AI mesh that goes to the marked destination similar to the way it's marked in the Commander mod? Food for thought, to the least.

Food for thought, to the least.Could just make the vertibird or whatever a peace of armor that bips out the whole character, there for making it so your "inside" what ever vehicle. I know there are concole commands that let the charactor fly, so enabling those while the character has the "armor" on would let them fly. Twinks to movement speed and such would be needed but are possible. But as for you wanting the vertibird to take off, just tap the hotkey (defult "g") button the the landed vertibird. Might take a few times, but it does take off and fly away. No need for a mini nuke to go off in the middle of big town for you.... unless you call them in :P

PLEASE tell me it's a blackhawk! :thumbsup:Probably not. The problem with a verti-bird is that I cannot animate it, so it needs to be a model with no obvious means of propulsion. Therefore I'm thinking something more sci-fi, but I'm not sure yet.
