ell you are missing out on so much by limiting yourself, or at least in my opinion anyway. I always attempt to try new things even if I play the same build multiple times - as in Human Mage I will switch up gender and talents and skills to that I get to use everything including the people I romance and the way I go about it. :) Is it, perhaps, a morality reason why you will not try girl/girl, boy/boy or you as a guy going for a girl? No judgement on my part if it is, just curious as to the reason just as Stardusk is :D

 

... I'm still trying to get my guy to give a girl character a go the next time he plays! I'll wear him down eventually! *rubs hands together and cackles* :ninja:

Aww, see I feel the same way about yummy Zev. I just cant seem to bring myself to romance anyone else...though I have, for badge purposes only. I just get the badge and reload! I also wont leave camp without em.... :wub:

Probably because I don't think like a man, I'd still be a female trying to think like a man and I can't be bothered with it, plus because my female side would always be dominant I wouldn't want to romance the women of the party, not even for the sake of the game.

 

My husband played both to get all the trophies and he only succeeded in the female roles when I helped him, he made an absolutely hopeless female, even with Alistair his approval was always in the red - and as I'm not bothered about trophies there isn't any point. The difference seems to be that to him it's just a game, I get emotionally involved with my games and party members.

 

I don't want to play a dwarf either, simply because I don't want to be a short, chubby person, I won't wear some of the armour even if it would save my life because it's ugly and I wouldn't wear a helmet until I got the no helmet hack because they are ugly :laugh: see what I mean, my husband thinks it's hilarious that I do things like that, he said something along the lines "only a woman could..."

LOL my guy laughs at me because I get so emotionally involved with the game - though he did come to care more about things his 2nd playthrough. His first time, dear god he was so annoying. He would not buy anything or talk to any party members, instead always making me do it for him, and got annoyed if he was doing anything but killing things! I told him that if he did not start appreciating the game then I was not going to let him play! LOL, and since the gaming computer is mine and in my home office he had to obey me! *cracks my whip* :laugh: BUT ... he did start appreciating the game once he started paying attention to things and is VERY picky with his armor. He likes things that look good and are functional at the same time so he has a nice balance just as I do.

 

But one day when I was sitting here with him watching him play (or smack talking him about how much better I was than him :X We have a huge rivalry with this game, sooo fun!), I tricked him into flirting with Zevran by leaning over him and clicking a romantic reply lmao, and he got a kick out of it. He sat here talking in a high pitched voice narrating the Zev romance with his dude and batting his lashes at me, then sat back and watched the sex scene go by, the whole time the two of us were making outlandish sex noises for the lulz!! Sure he reloaded after and pushed me off his chair lmao, but he had fun with goofing around and trying something new and I was able to tease him about his gay love making for days afterwards! :D

 

So you should try something new even if it is just for the lulz! Play a soft hearted sweetheart guy, that's easy for a girl! :yes:

 

But then ... maybe I am a fanatic about trying everything you can not only b/c I'm so in love with this game but b/c I am a total achievement wh*re! I MUST get every achievement in every game I play or I get really annoyed!!

 

... and now I will stop blabbing!

The one thing I haven't managed to do yet is a homosexual male/Zevran thing...it kind of repulses me but I think I will try it...eventually, if only for completeness.

I can't leave the camp without Zev. Then when he starts talking I get worried he's gonna say something bad, or something that might change my opinion of him for the worse. But so far he just makes me smile with his comments and stuff. :biggrin:

 

Can't stand any of the other people :tongue:

 

 

But with the whole thing about ell46 not playing a male character, it's the same for me for female characters. I started a female Mage but just couldn't get into it. I didn't even finish Ostagar, just quit and continued playing with my main guy.

 

But if I did continue with her, there's the romancing stuff which I would be pretty bored with, I'm a guy that prefers guys so that's what I play in the game. :biggrin:

See I'm not the only one :biggrin: andreweve1 is the same. The choices I make as a male would be female choices I can't and don't want to think like a man, being married to one is enough :woot: :woot:

 

Elooocin- your more generous with your man than I am, the PC is mine, allllll mine no one touches it without my permission. DH has a PS3, but on the up side for him, he gets the huge flat screen TV. I've seen all the scenes without having to play as a man as DH called me over when they played, so I'm not missing anything. He won't drop the subject of why I won't play a dwarf and I often have to put up with his ribbing about it, but I get my own back by asking could his latest choice of hair products have anything to do with his Zev romance :laugh: :laugh:
