SpellAndShield
See I'm not the only one  andreweve1 is the same. The choices I make as a male would be female choices I can't and don't want to think like a man, being married to one is enough :woot: :woot: Elooocin- your more generous with your man than I am, the PC is mine, allllll mine no one touches it without my permission. DH has a PS3, but on the up side for him, he gets the huge flat screen TV. I've seen all the scenes without having to play as a man as DH called me over when they played, so I'm not missing anything. He won't drop the subject of why I won't play a dwarf and I often have to put up with his ribbing about it, but I get my own back by asking could his latest choice of hair products have anything to do with his Zev romance   I think the point of an RPG game (unlike real life) is that men and women are not really different in any substantial way; I mean, let's be honest, in real life women are significantly weaker than men, so the idea that a woman can swing a great sword with full plate armour on is a fantastical idea, i.e. fantasy. But that is the point; psychological differences between men and women, so pronounced in real life, are miminised or of little significance in a game like DA. That is why I have no problem playing a female (apart from the fact that women are beautiful and men are well, hairy, sweaty and, bleh; to this day it is beyond my comprehension why or how women find men attractive but that is neither here nor there). So, in a fantasy game very few if any of the real life rules apply. Certainly, a concept such as 'thinking like a man' does not exist in a fantasy game and even in real life, one would need to define what exactly that entails. brokenergy
I didn't really thought that it would happen but the first character I slept with was Morrigan. Who would have thought that probing turns her on
elooocin
@ell - Well we do not have any other type of gaming system b/c my guy has issues with leaving things unfinished and HAS to complete everything he does, so when he starts a game he cannot stop playing in every free moment he has until it is done. BUT, he would still complain about my gaming time so I begged, pleaded and dragged him into my computer chair for my own selfish reasons :ninja: He got all addicted to playing and therefore could no longer complain when I wanted to stay up till 3 am playing. :turned: Especially when I once woke up at 6 am and he was still sitting at my computer and had to be at work in a few hours! I'm not as bad as him so he stopped fussing after that!!! ... I'm kind of conniving in that way. :teehee: Plus I have my laptop so I can handle him overtaking my main gaming system. @Star - I agree with you about the 'can't play male/female' thing. ... and I'm still half asleep so now my brain is too dead to remember what I was going to add to that ... I need my coffee and then maybe I can communicate ...

This could go on for ever and I'm not the most articulate of people to have a written discussion with  lets just leave it that I can't play as a man, somethings in life can't be easily explained they just are. vany666
I have already played DAO three times and i can ONLY sleep with Alistair (morphed). xD I don't know why, I just don't feel attracted for any of the others, and in this kind of game I must feel it is my thing. I act like that character is just, well, myself!
Lordapolyon
Morrigan. Firstly, easy to bed. Secondly, same morals, (oooh, look, a person to murder violently), thirdly, HOT!
Birrii
Wait, I haven't gotten that far into DA. Are these romance-thingies NECESSARY? O_O(You know, it would be kinda weird if I'd play on my xbox, and then suddenly my little sister would DASH into my room.... <_<" )

They do it with their clothes on for xbox. ;) See I'm not the only one  andreweve1 is the same. OldBook3
The romances aren't necessary, but they are fun. :) I slept with Morrigan first, and she's still my favorite romance in the game. So well written and observed, and so well integrated into the plot. There can never be a happy ending with Morri, but she's a love your Warden will remember the rest of his life. I tried the Leliana romance next. She's a much more interesting character than she's sometimes given credit for, a woman with a violent past seeking redemption. I don't think she ever really understands her own experience; even after her attempt at reformation, she speaks jokingly and with pride of the men and women she has seduced, betrayed and killed. The first time I played I thought of her as the Good Girl, but really she's at least as steeped in blood as Morri, and more experienced at betrayal. All of that said, I like Lel a lot, and I think she can have a happy ending with the Warden. She wants to change, to become more than she was. She might be clinging to faith now, but she's on a path of growth, and she and the Warden could build a life together. I played through as an Elf Female for the Alistair romance. Wow. Another beautifully written story, and I can see why players love his character. The betrayal at the end if he becomes king was tragic, even if my character can understand the political need for a Human queen. I've yet to romance Zevran. He doesn't get the basic "killing people who are not actively trying to kill you is wrong" idea, which makes him a dangerous sociopath no matter how charming his voice and dialog might be. Everytime I have the conversation with him where he talks about not having a problem killing children who get in the way I want to kick him out of the party. I know there's meant to be more to the character than that, but I've yet to play a character evil enough to think "Sure, sometimes you accidentally kill kids. Too bad, really."
