LE badass males are impossible?

ok so literally for as long as i can remember i have been trying to make a male character that doesn't look like hes 40-50 im skyrim with the best male mods out there, but STILL i cannot seem to make a male that actually looks cool. i gave up on trying to make a decent looking male nord or imperial becauseno matter what i try to alter they all come out looking to friendly, not exactly battle hardened or serious. more like there gonna bake you some sweet rolls. then i keep seeing people who have made characters like the ones i have posted i don't understand what im doing wrong. i have the mods, i have the outfits, but STILL they look too friendly. i even tried making a dark elf like this but i seriously dont get how they achieved this. is there some secret im missing? so what im really asking is how can i make something like these, are there vital mods i might be missing, and if you can, share your characters so i can perhaps understand where im going wrong. i really am baffled by that dark elf though. i dont understand how they got the faceshape. also the artwork of the dark elf is sorta what im after dark elf wise.

The elf from your first screenshot is not from ingame, that's a drawing.

The rest of the screens are all pretty easy to make with the racemenu mod. The things on their faces are tattoo mods.

i know that obviously lol, what im saying is how did they make there faces those shapes especially since night elves have very old looking bulbous shaped heads. and i used race menu for hours and yet nothing comes out looking like any of those.
