Dimon
I was hoping there would be "more" of a steady stream of Morrowind mods, but it seems like there are less and less everyday for Morrowind, and some of the older ones are not even submitted here. It's kinda sad to see such works of art being lost to history.....Unfortanetly, I said I won't submit anymore. I am keeping by my word, at least, until Peregrin changes his opinions about how I did it earlier. I was even once a member of SOMM....."Save Our Morrowind Mods", but it did not have enough people join it after Morrowind Summit and EuroMorrowind both failed.... Three problems with "Submitting" mods 1. Since I did not create these mods, there is a problem with Copyright Infringement. I do try and read the readme's, but several problems happen even when I read them: A. Older Mods have a "one sentence" reamde.B. The original maker of the mod's email/webpage no longer exists.C. I try to contact the author, but never receive a response.D. It says I can use it, but other individuals tell me not to post them because they are not my mods. Because of these reasons and the 2 complaints I received, I am debating with myself whether or not to start re-submitting again. I am pretty sure I can at least Submit Kagrenac's and Sabregirl's mods, but Im not sure about some of the older one's I have, or the popular ones. 2. "Officially", I have not actually talked to the author's of these mods on here(not that I know of, at least). They are free to talk about the mods I already posted, and if they wish for me to get rid of them, I would be happy to do so. 3. Will these author's still be concerned for their Morrowind mods when they are making mods for Oblivian? I am not sure since I am not any of these authors, but ignoring things made older is a trend in the gaming industry. For example, I am hoping that Enix would make another game by itself, but this is just a pipedream. Plus, I don't think they will re-release their Nintendo games(at least, not soon( I am well aware of the re-release of some of them, but I am waiting for Brain Lord 2). Hence, this is one of the reasons why the "emulators" and "roms" were made in the first place. Many people like the older games, but the gaming industry does not release the "pre" PS2 games very often. I mean, if you go shopping at a place like Best Buy, how many Super Nintendo games are they selling? How about Toys R Us(They at least still sell PS1 Games!)? Actually, if they did sell SNES games in a store(and not on E-BAY), I would buy them right away. Of course, I could always buy USED from e-bay, but what about NEW versions? Thank you for reading my thoughts and opinions...
