Tone changing in menu has no effect

Hi everyone!

 

As the topic says, if I want to change the tone in the menu (f.e. showracemenu) it has no effect to my characters. I got this with all of my characters (even the default races).

 

Here is my load order:

PS: A little bit offtopic: My characters are now smiling with open mouth and if I want to change the facial expression with mods (like Actors Emotion) it looks like my character is talking to himself for a while, 'til he then has the right expression. Kinda weird :dry:

Are you using a race that does not allow you to do that? Meshes do have some constrictions... (face expression thing.) Some mods also do not allow you to do much with the appearance changing, various aspects of it, either...

Well no, at least no mod that actually effects the default races (besides textures and normalmaps).

I suggest sorting your list. Its organization right now, is kind of odd...haha... Is your character one of the vanilla races?

You have a TON of cosmetic and new race mods installed. If there is no overlap in that list, you did a nice job picking out a very particular group...

Well it doesn't work with vanilla races and custom races.

 

Anyway, now that you mentioned it, I barely remember that I once installed a mod that unlocked the tone controller in the CS, but I do not know if I installed it on this one, because I reinstalled Oblivion some month ago. And if this mod uses an .esp, I can't find it, but I will certainly search for this mod on the nexus and deinstall it, to look if that caused that bug.

Do you mean the face color unlocker mod? That might make all the faces look ugly, but it should not have anything to do with this. Facial composition is more largely mesh-related. I think you need to check the overlaps in your mod list...

I just tried to deactivate ALL of my mods, but I still can't change the tone. What could cause this problem?! The reason can't be my textures and normalmaps, because this always worked and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't...

I would assume that the problem is related to some data files... I am not sure what else the problem could be. Have you tried uninstalling all of your mods?

No, I installed quite a lot of mods and I do not really look forward to reinstall Oblivion because it runs quite nice right now (despite that texture - tone bug :confused: )

Not uninstalling Oblivion, just the cosmetic mods..
