Tone changing in menu has no effect

Hm that aren't that much, actually I have no cosmetic mod which alters the meshes (despite hgec, roberts male body....), but a few that are altering the textures (like IFT...)

 

edit: I first encountered this bug a while after installing the moonshadow elves race, but I don't think that this mod is causing this certain problem :/

It might be. For example, the Lattamer mod has a similar "issue" where the head mesh limits the character's facial expression.

Have you checked your oblivion.ini file? If you have disabled

 

bFaceGenTexturing=1 to 0,

 

you can't personalize chracter's texture-custom race or not.

 

For some reason some custom race makes you to turn that line to 0 to provide specific skin texture.
