I'll get it on Friday when I get paid. Cash is very low right now. I hope we can play as an emissary, that's the only reason I want to give it a try. Since I play mostly mages as it is, it will be fun to have some darkspawn magic. Which I'm sure is the same as the magi magic but I'm curious to see how the game handles it. Of course by Friday I should know if we can play as am emissary! :)

 

Five bucks isn't much. I probably shouldn't have but I started downloading it. Even bought 1600(-400) new bioware points just in case for the future...once it is up and I have played, feel free to pm me or what have you...I might post a review in the spoiler section... :whistling:

Have been 'trying' to download it...but stopps halfway in...and I have to start over...ugh. 5 bucks down the drain...I read someone on bioware forums had a similar problem. I should have waited until they got the kinks out... :confused:

hm. well, from what I saw over in the pictures thread, it pretty much looks like a chance to beat up on the characters that you dont like. And end up having to kill the ones that you do.

And the sword isnt that cool IMO. :sad:

I would LOVE to play it but sadly my game does not possess a cd key due to my stupidity of letting my cousin borrow the freakin game! But I look forward to seeing some reviews and gameplay

 

God how much I would love to go back into the game and utterly destroy some irritating PC's ^_^

And spets, yeah frankly I want them to expand on Awakening like was hinted at in an article I read on Kotaku blog a while back. Man, I want them to FIX that EP where the relationships are concerned because it makes me not want to play it knowing there is no in depth getting-to-know the characters ...or snogging ... I luv me some snoggin' :geek: They spoiled us with the original game, now I am a total brat and can't believe I am denied the awesomeness!

 

If I want to play great games without the relationships I have about 10 on my computer right now. *stomps around at bioware*

on the topic, i'm a late bloomer in getting Dragon Age so am still on my 1st go round with the original game. Time will tell whether I try out the new DLC

I played through this last night in less than 2 hours. I was disappointed to say the least! and I'm not hard to please, I've loved all the DA DLC's and stuff so far but this really was nothing special.

I'm most upset with the way Biostore bigged up the Darkspawn DLC so much but when you start playing it you realise its not all it was made out to be...and then suddenly its finished and the credits start rolling! WTF???

Personally, in my browsing the forums over at BIO, one of the biggest things that I've noticed people asking for is Romance Expansion Packs, Relationship Packs..ECT. Both for Origins and Awakenings,...Awakenings needing it the most, and I for one agree with it. Instead, they seem to find a way to make an even less personable, mute and lifeless expansion? Hrmpft....

 

If I wanted to play a Darkspawn, I could download the MOD and do it for free...I believe someone made a MOD for this..yes? If I want some cool shield or items, well I can download a MOD for that too. So why not spend a couple of extra bucks to get some extra VOs from the exisiting characters and throw us a Romance/Expansion pack...I paid 40 bucks for Awakenings and have only played it once because its just so, blah....what would spending another, oh 10 bucks to make it playable do..

 

I'd definatly pay a little extra to bring some life into Awakenings, and personally I'd much rather them let us bring the older party members there as well...expecially my Zev, but I digress. ..

 

I hope this mute, lifeless streak they have going with expansions doesnt show a sign for things to come in DAO2, because like Elooocin, they spoiled me with Origins and If I wanted to play some Hack and Slash game without personality I have tons of them to play instead.

+1. I don't want to play as Darkspawn, but I haven't even got Awakenings yet because the lack of relationships. Origins pretty much raised my standards for RPG's with the companions, now I can't think I'd want to see or play any less coming from them with the name 'Dragon Age' on it.

 

I pretty much decided not to bother getting Awakenings the moment I heard we could have our Origins character, but Zevran wouldn't be there by my side. What good is that? I don't want to go around making new friends, I want my good friends!.... And lover :biggrin:

@Mscheveous - dear god yes yes yes, I know you quoted me but I say it all again in 100% agreement with you!! They raised the standards of all rpg's and by God they cannot let us down anymore or we will revolt! REVOLT I SAY!!!!

But anyway, I got DC, posted pics in pic thread, and while it was interesting it was not something I would recommend to anyone if they are uncertain about getting it. It was short like Dubya said and pretty sad having to kill people you liked in the game :confused: Though I REALLY enjoyed killing Wynne & Morrigan :ninja: Killing Leliana was sad until I read her codex about how she got her grubby little hands on my man!

(side note LOL - I was telling my bff about how it said Leliana and Alistair were lovers and how after that I wished I could kill her again, :laugh: And she goes 'NICOLE U ARE A DARKSPAWN! ALISTAIR CANNOT LOVE YOU!' and I was all 'I CAN GET MY DARKSPAWN GAY LOVE ON! DON'T HATE, MAN!' gosh!!! :laugh: made her laugh so I thought I would share!)

But yeah, I totally agree that they need to cut down on these random Add-Ons and give everyone whey really want - Relationship/Love pack!! That is something I would drop 10 bucks or more for easily!!
