spinspider
I just want to make a small suggestion regarding the time restriction on endorsing files. I was really upset the other day because I tried to endorse a file, but I didn't realize that not quite enough time had passed since I downloaded it. I had a really long comment full of praise written out, then up comes the stupid "Sorry, you cannot endorse this file because not enough time has passed since you downloaded it!" message and I lost everything I'd just spend 10 minutes typing out. So... my suggestion is, if someone tries to endorse a file with a comment, but not enough time has passed yet, why can't it just still post the comment anyway, without registering the attempted thumbs up or adding the "I have given this file my endorsement" at the beginning? bben46
You can always post a comment without giving a thumbs up or down. And many more people do this than than use the thumbs up/down. Just post on the mod thread in the forum or comments. If you are already in the "I want to endorse this file" then use copy, back out and go into the forum or comments start a new comment and paste the comment. The comments section on the mod page actually are another way to post in the forum thread. All comments show up in both places.
XunAmarox
I believe his problem is that his post was lost, not the lack of knowledge of how to post a comment normally. So, this would be a suggestion to keep comment content even if an endorsement fails.
