cebollor
(Sorry for my english, it´s not my language) ¡Hi everybody! I have a little problem with Oblivion Mod Manager, and I ask you help, please. I installed a Oblivion from the begining, and it´s works fine. The problem is I want to install my olds mods, and I cant´t run OBMM. When I install it´s ok, but later, the program don´t open and don´t works. I recently instalated Windows 7 x64 and I think it´s a incompatibility problem in 64 bits, but I don´t know like I can fixing it. Somebody knows like fixing it? Thanks! bben46
There is no problem running OBMM in Win7x64. I have been doing it for quite a while now with no problems at all. My guess is you installed Oblivion to the default location _C:\program Files (x86). As the program files in Win7 and Vista are protected locations it makes working with mods and add on programs difficult. I recommend reinstalling to C:\Games\Oblivion. That will stop all of the aggravation. You will have to create both the games folder and the Oblivion sub-folder before installing. Before uninstalling, save your present data folder and save games folder to a temporary folder somewhere so you will not have to reinstall all mods and won't lose your saves. After reinstalling, be sure you test before copying them back. Also, reinstall OBSE and OBMM and any other utility programs. If you have problems uninstalling or reinstalling Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=
Tomlong54210
Oblivion Mod Manager - http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/prep/obmm <-- After reinstalling to the location bben suggested, following these guidelines for setting up OBMM should prevent other potential mod installation issues. cebollor
Thanks for the responses, bben46 and Tomlong54210. I have tried to install Oblivion and OBMM in C/Games/Oblivion, and the installation process works fine, but I can´t open OBMM. I have verifiedthis evening that when I try run Ati Catalyst, it´s doesn´t work either. Can be the same problem? Thanks again!

It could be the same problem, but that is really odd... Did you reinstall OBMM after reinstalling Oblivion? Are you running as an administrator? If not, right-click on the OBMM executable and set it to "run as administrator" in its properties.

Tomlong54210
I turned off UAC in Control Panel, but I don´t know how can I do that in Oblivion´s folder. If you turned the UAC off on your entire computer, this is a non-issue. That is not recommended, by the way... Google "Turn off UAC on folder" for help with turning it off on a specific folder.
