hello FO3 NEXUS community!

i love this community not only for the mods of FO3 but also for the support people are providing!

i have an idea.you see i love 3 weapon modders in particular:ahztek, alexscorpion and toxa.

their mods are exactly what i was dreaming of.BUT i have some problems.you see there are compatibility issues.

i want to ask a few questions and then just wait and hope that someone will respond.

1.how can i use the geck to change ahzteks mods so that the vanilla weapons wont be replaced?you know i just want the weapons in game and like to see npcs use them but i dont want them to replace the original weapons.

2.can i somehow use the G.E.C.K. to collect into one esp all the weapons i like from these awesome modders?

3.i want to do this for my personal use.will i need to ask for their permision considared that im not planning to upload anything-anywhere in case i make it happen?

4.can i do it with hair and eyes mods?cause you know there are lots of them out there and none is compatible with the other.

if you know how i can do this or you know of any tutorials on how to do this i will be much obliged!

I'm pretty sure azhtek does have a non-replacer version. If not what you pretty much do is create a new plugin, create new base IDs and use Azhtek's resources. Maybe there is another way to use his stats/ammo/whatnot without doing it all over again but I don't know it.

Use FO3 plugin utility to merge esps into one.

Who's going to stop you from using what you want for personal use? No one.

Hair/eye/ anything that alters vanilla races can be merged but they will always be incompatible with other plugins that alter the same races.

I started writing instructions and it was turning into a complicated information wash that was taking too long and wouldn't likely be of much help. First thing i would advise would be to use FO3Edit too. It neatly shows where your mods are conflicting with each other by color coding, and lines the objects with identical #s up side-by-side so you can compare them. Another feature of FO3Edit is you can assign a lowly .esp file as a master to another .esp. This way, you can make a main.esp with all your form lists and leveled lists and borrow objects from the masters. Beware, if you later save your main.esp with GECK, all references to objects from master ESPs will be erased. Form lists dictate many things, including which items can repair each other and what supermutants can equip. Leveled lists are key to making your guns spontaneously appear in NPC's inventories. An overview of them would look complicated so i won't go into that, but they're really easy because all you have to do is imitate how they're already set up for the vanilla items.

EDIT: another thing, if you want to have items from different mods repair each other, you'll have to copy these to your main.esp as an override so you can make changes to these under your mod—changes such as in which repair list the objects refer to.

To copy all of the weapons just make a new plugin with all the mods. Then edit the EditorID of all the weapons and make a new form.

ok you make it sound easy!would you please elaborate on that?like where can i find a tutorial on how to do this?im a complete noob when it comes to the editors of fallout3...i have the fo3 editor...would that do?and if yes then how?

yeah i know thats too many "?"...but i dont have much free time with the job and the girl so i cant just sit down for a day or two and make it happen so thats why im asking for help!
