Racial Rebalance Mod Probloms

recentley installed racial rebalance project. I had buetifull people but uninstalled before installing. I went and got the meshes and textures files for the mod. Whenever i start up the mod and go into new game i have all my eye choices turned off i cant change eyes, for most races it reads " blind eye " and is unchangable and is black. Some races are completley colored black, most custom races added to the mod dont even show a person they show a picute of a gate, dumber and some orcs have normal eyes, dumber sometimes have custom meshed glow eyes different on each side ( so meshes look like there there ).

 

Any ideas?

 

heres my LO if uve got the stones to look through it.

 

EDIT : Got the texures and meshes ( was not allowed to make a OMOD of them i guess ) But i am still unable to change hair or eyes i can change hair color though.

EDIT 2 : For somereason it lets me change eyes and hair of Bretons and Imperials, will not let me change bretons or any others ive tried. On one restart it let me choose breton hair, but it isnt letting me any more. I really have no idea what can cause that.

EDIT 3: a few more bugs that i am haveing that would be great if any one knew what was causing them, ( as long as ur looking at me LO ), OOO drop lit torches is no longer working correctley, everyonece in a while ill lose the ability to click, if i push escape i cant push the options menu and i cant exect out of dialog, just been happening latley.

The cosmetic problem you've described is caused by overlapping cosmetic mods. Uninstall whatever other cosmetic mods you have modifying the vanilla races.

 

++ CybBPcompatibility.esp <-- RBP does not use Elaborate Eyes, so remove this. Your load order could be fixed up a bit, but I am too tired to go through it now. Update BOSS and Wrye Bash and you should see some changes.

 

I haven't slept in over a day...

 

One more thing, installing the OBSE version of DLT should help. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16282

 

If you notice more issues with that, add the OOO DLT remove to remove the OOO version. I am not sure that you need it though, and I am too tired to think over it much. I hope this information helps some...

I do use BOSS but the part of my LO that i think might be causing issues is the Racial Rebalance, LAME, and supreme magicka area. I had to put those in the LO my self because BOSS sorted it as having all LAME files after SM but it says to move SM after LAME if i want SM effects instead ( and i do ). But since i have a lot of other mods that boss loaded imbatween them and imbatween SM and other magic plugins, i decided to try moveing all the lame and Racial rebalancing above SM and follow the SM readme guidlines on how to order the plugins, by adding 2 Imbatween sm plugins ( boss only moved 1 ) and following the BOSS suggestions for all the other LO's just moving them as a whole above SM, the only files i have from LAME that i left down there were visual enchantments for weapons and better lightning effects from LAME. the SM readme and BOSS didnt really agree so i just did what the readme said witch is to load FCOM,all LAME files,SM, 2 lame files imatween SM plugins. Gonna down load that torch dropper mod thanks.

 

I really got no idea why it sometimes doesnt allow me to click but if u have any ideas on what to do with that weird part of the LO and feel like looking through again thanks.

What does not allow you to click?

 

I load SM after LAMe, so referencing my load order might be helpful. I was pretty tired earlier, so I might have overlooked certain thing, but my comment probably was not related to the LAME+RBP+SM situation as I know about the various configs for those. I will look your LO over again. Also, bear in mind that the BOSS comments are more up to date than the docs of many of the mods it organizes. it is usually safer to go with its recommendations, unless the mod has been very recently updated. A major reason for the discrepancy, and BOSS's superiority, is that the BOSS team keeps BOSS' recommendations current with mod updates, patches and Wrye BAsh updates, that mod makers cannot predict when they create their mods. It is not a problem on the makers part, it is just that newer advancements have allowed for more convenient changes to be made. BOSS is right 99% of the time, and if you are really concerned about a possible issue with its recommendations (I.e., after a mod has been updated for a certain change and the BOSS comments do not reflect that) take it up with the BOSS team. More users are helped that way, and you will receive a more informed answer to your question.

Anyway, since SM and LAME have nothing to do with cosmetics, they have nothing to do with the conflict with RBP. RBP, by itself, would not cause this problem, but that is not the only cosmetic mod you have installed. Did you try removing the plugin I pointed out in my last post, and have you analyzed your mod list for other cosmetic mods?

My only other plugins that modify races are overhauls, well they were, the problom with racial reblance was pretty weird. What was happening is that for some reason i could change eyes of any race until i ran into a race with the eye defaults set on blind, ( probley wasnt like that on purpose ), the first races in either directions with that were mystic elves, and bretons, whenever i went to a breton or mystic elf or anything after it stops letting me change the eyes of any other race, doesnt mean the other races are blind it just doesnt let me change the eyes of the races that i was just changing the eyes on, i got anoyed so i took out hair and eyes from bash patch and got elaborate eyes and im gonna test it out as soon as my bash patch finishes, now my only other cosmetic mod is elaborate eyes but i didnt have that when the problom started.

 

On my LO i gotta stick with LAME before SM because theres alot of custom plugins to make the intergrated that need u to have lame first, BOSS suggested doing that if i wanted 2 but the thing i was worried about is all the mods imbatween placed by boss might have to be that way for compatibility and im changing the LO for more then just races,SM, and LAME.

And what its not allowing me to click with the other bug i was talking about is that it wont let me use the mouse any more.. i can change directions and stuff but if i got to the escape menu and hold the curser over options or exit and click nothing happens, same as if i click X to get out of dialog.

 

EDIT - Ok installed and bashed everything all the eye changes are there and working i can change eyes on the usual things but after passing mystic elfs or bretons it wont let me change eyes, dont have the anoying blind eyes any more but i still cant change eyes on any race after passing them, blind eyes unchangable still on deadra seducer race tho. I guess i could live with having to have a breton with amber eyes but id like to be able to change eyes, any ideas

 

EDIT - Drop lit torches is now working, made a new game and it worked.

 

The last probloms left that i know right now are, not being able to choose eyes after going over some races, i have 4 different dark elf races dont know if thats normal, and sometimes it wont let me click. You dont have to answer the wont let me click problom if u dont know mutch about it.

I have seen this issue before too. Let's see...

 

Mouse issue: Make sure "bUse Joystick" is set to 0 in the Oblivion.ini (Documents\My Games\Oblivion).

 

Cosmetic issue: The overhauls are fine. Install the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. You know what, try checking to make sure that BP was completely uninstalled. Remove Elaborate Eyes for now too. I need to remember this fix, geez... Post your current load order for me, after making those changes. Are you using Wrye Bash v283? The sort of issue can also result if the game is not patched to the latest version, but since you are already running your other mods fine, I assume you have it patched already.

Cosmetic issue: The overhauls are fine. Install the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. You know what, try checking to make sure that BP was completely uninstalled. Remove Elaborate Eyes for now too. I need to remember this fix, geez... Post your current load order for me, after making those changes. Are you using Wrye Bash v283? The sort of issue can also result if the game is not patched to the latest version, but since you are already running your other mods fine, I assume you have it patched already.

 

I had BP as a OMOD so im pretty sure its completley gone, ill check the ini for that ( but that bug isnt constant just everyonce in a while ), I used the wyre bash self installer and i think thats not v283 not sure tho, i got UOP and Shivering isles UOP and knight UOP, didnt get the other plugin patches tho because i want mod room and i figured the fixes werent that big ( besides spell tomes cause it can be virtually active ), ill try removing elaborate eyes but this mod was here before i ever had that plugin, its not that the eyes are messed up or missing meshes or anything like that, its whenever i go over a race like mystic elf or ( as far right as i can go before i run into one) is red gard. But all the other races imbatween like imperials, high elves, kajite, orcs can all change eyes just fine and i can see the extra eyes, also all of the races like redgaurd and breton have more eyes then just amber ( witch i cant change ) on NPC's. I know its coming from the racial rebalance cause i started up and made a new game before DL'ing that and everything was fine.

 

Im like 99% sure that i have BP uninstalled, but its hard to make sure i got all the textures and stuff gona cause they have some with the same names.

 

and one more anoying thing, i guess i installed a mod that didnt say it but retextured the potions the OOO had, that were awsome, i tried DL'ing the potions reduced of the same type as OOO ( that was all i could find), but ingame i still have these anoying crapy potions and i cant figure out how to change them.

Oh, the OOO issue sounds like archive invalidation is not set. Set BSA redirection in OBMM (Utilities > Archive invalidation.)

 

 

Edit: OBMM has quirks, especially when it comes to conflict reports and uninstallation.
