Tomlong54210 Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 Ya i guess i got too mutch unclean in my folder, even though i do OBMM sometimes on activation it will have a "error" show up saying its not activated properley but still install the esps, esms, and meshes and textures just with a few missing so i alwase gotta hunt them out of my folders and that might cause probloms. Im gonna try to play a game with a charecter and see how it goes, if i get random missing textures and probloms all the time ill reinstall my stuff but thats the last option i wanna use, like i can deal with not so great looking potions and not so great looking eyes but i cant deal with a game that wont play so ill see how it goes. After i play ill see if it will run OK but if i cant do mutch before losing clicking and crap ill take it all off and start over. EDIT - one more thing, u link PYFFI in ur name so im guessing ur a pro at it, will it be all right if i PYFFI all my meshes?Hold off on PyFFI. Doing that is a simple thing, and I have instructions for that. However, you do have the random missing textures problem. My last post says that you have two different issues. In order to resolve the randomness issue, reinstalling anything is not going to help. I am saying that you need to remove all plugins in your data folder that are not in use. Ok ive made alot more sence out of my Racial Rebalance Mod probloms, i told you that eyes dont change after going over certain races right? Well it looks like whats causing it is that some mod is adding in races not meant to be played with pre set unchangable apearences ( im pretty sure its Racial Rebalance ) and what that does is lock up the eye color so u cant change it for the custom race. A example is there is a redgaurd race added in called " gambet " or gambit forgot, and it says in the description " NOT A REAL RACE DO NOT USE " so ive been ignoring it, but i went in to customize on that race and it has the arrow to change eyes dulled out and unclickable, its after going to that race, even if i dont go into custimaztion that i lose the ability to change eyes on all my races. If theres a way to stop this race from showing up or making it the last one that does so i can just not go over and view it so my game does screw up it would help tons, because the race i want to make my charecter on ( breton ) comes after Gambet and i really, really dont like the amber eyes, or if that wont work if theres a way to disable all eyes before blue or brown in charecter creation ( it shows top of alphabetical order forst IE amber ) so i dont even have to change my eyes. Ill hold off on PYFFI, but the last time i tried it, it took about a day to PYFFI my archatexture alone, but then again it took a day to download shivering isles as well, and now it takes me 30 minutes to download shivering isles. You should use TES4Edit to look through your load order and figure out which mod actually adds that race. I know that RBP does not do that. I have been using that mod for a long time, and have looked at with TES4Edit quite a bit. You should not try to modify a race that is supposed to be unplayable anyway. What mod does that? Gonna check tes4edit but by the way, the pink or purplish missing textures problom, is purley All Natural, maybe when that is on with another mod i have it does it but i lose the ability to hit escape see bridges lots of houses are pink and i cant use doors, when i deinstall it all works perfectley. Please, listen... i have no plugins that im not using, none, none at all, all the ones im not using are merged in my bash patch i have no idea why you are saying that. My folder is not crazy dirty either, i have no BSA's that are not being used in a mod ive chacked many times, all esp's and esm's in my data folder are being used somehow, ive looked throuh my meshes and textures and sound folders i have no clear indications of mods not being uninstalled properly all mods i have downloaded exept around 10 have been made in a OMOD and unistalled in a OMOD and BP was in a OMOD so is elsyre and whatever mod adds GAMBET and Mystic elves, ill use tes 4 edit to check but i have no probloms what so ever besides potions being replaced and not beign able to choose eyes after going over those 2 races, will see if tes4edit points out were Gambet is coming from and if its not a file thats too important or really not well known ill get rid of it. My problom isnt a dirty folder my folders are very clean ill figure out how to post a screen shot if i have to but thats not it. Why do u think my folder has gone to crap? Its not messed up i think this problom is caused by something else then me uninstalling my folders like a retard. I have not capped my hard cap of 255 plugins or my soft cap of 350- 500 range and i have less then 50 BSA's the rest just came as meshes and textures if thats too mutch and i miss read help furoms point me to some different ones. Its lower, or at least it was for me. I have that range estimated at 300-400. You have more than 255 in your data folder. I do not know what else to say... You have nearly 255 ACTIVE plugins. You definitely have more than 255 plugins in your data folder. Let's say you have around 270 plugins in your Data folder (although I think that estimate is low after skimming your LO) and you have 40 BSAs. You have more than 300 of those files total. I cannot make you want to make your game work. I would help you with your item count, but you do not seem to want help with that. Do what you wish... Switching out mods is not going to help unless you are reducing your plugin count. One last thing, even though you have not reached the hard cap of 255 ACTIVE plugins, the game get increasingly unstable as you approach that limit. Running up against the cap is not good. 255 is a programming limit. That does not mean that it is safe for you to actually be at that cap. K counted up my " virtually active " plugins have 52 of those and i have 250 active plugins ( my game seems to get CTD's at 254 no 255 for some reason). So thats around 302 total plugins witch is barley getting into the soft cap, i guess it still might be doing something, the number goes up by around 8 with All Natural installed maybe that extra 8 is my limit. I have 43 BSA's about 25ish are oblivion and official related if that matters, about 10 of them are from adash city of magic, around 6 from ivellion, and the rest from overhauls , 1 from thievery. I can do away with adash and ivellion there not that imporant if u think thats the problom Not sure if it matters or not but i have a very high end computer, its able to run the best games with no probloms, Call of Duty 4 on best possible graphics works fine, Civ 4 with best graphics works fine ( witch has a mutch bigger hit then you would think on low end machines ), and i use QTP3 redemized just fine, get a little lag if i look at some custom added meshes but those are the only time my comp ever takes a FPS hit that ive noticed. Tomlong54210 Posted May 22, 2010 Share Posted May 22, 2010 302 + 43 is 345. I ran into the soft cap in the very low 300s. You are nearly 50 in. Oblivion is made on a different engine. You cannot compare performance with it to many other games. Remember that you have two caps to worry about. The hard cap is for ACTIVE plugins. The soft cap is for ALL PLUGINS (ESP and ESM) AND BSAs. The 302 does not matter, the 254 and the 355 are the important totals. 254 is ridiculously close to the cap and 355 is definitely in the red zone. Dropping a mod or two is not going to be enough. What you need to do is start merging plugins. You have to be very careful about how you go about doing that, and you will probably have to start a new game, unless you do not mind doing a clean save for a bunch of mods. Clean saves will result in those mods' data being completely wiped from your saves. Also, merging cannot be a careless process. Dropping mods is certainly an option, but you have to make some significant choices. What do you want to do? I aim to keep my active plugin list under 210. I just try to keep my inactive count (virtually active or imported) as low as possible. Right now that count is still under 270. My BSA count is nearing 60. My active plugin count is safe. My "soft cap" count is still okay (but I will keep my eye on that.) I ran into this problem in the low 300s, but my active plugin count had been much closer to the hard cap then. Rlburgendy Posted May 22, 2010 Author Share Posted May 22, 2010 Ran Tes4edit im not 100% how to use because i just installed but what i did was click on racial rebalance look through for conflicts have a yellow overide on golden saint eyes, conflict on vampire eyes, and conflict on dreamora eyes, i disabled in bash patch if that matters. lots of conflicts with CURP controller with is the pack u need to download to run the guilds mods... heres some examples - Conflicts on breton is CURP_Controller written in red, conflict with dark elfs is also CURP_Controller in red, it writes in argonian that Racial rebalance is written in red with no other mods written inr ed conflicting with it. High elf conflicts with CURP recourse pack and CURP controller, but high elf works fine, so does argonian... More conflicts with CURP controller in imperial ( works fine.), Conflict with Kajit has Racial Rebalance in red but no other mods in red, Nord conflicts with CURP controller, ( also works fine ).Orc says it conflits with Racial Rebalance but no others besides that are in red ( works fine ). Red gaurd conflicts with CURP controller, ( theres 3 red gaurds, 2 say dont play last 1 doesnt work.)Wood elf conflicts with CURP controller as well and i havent tried them out yet.
