What do I change to stop an NPC from fleeing combat?

Let's see if I can actually make a post that's less than a novel-length. Wish me luck.

 

I'm trying to squish a bug where Argomir from the "Unfriendly Competition" quest gets scared and flees my PC during the last part of the quest when you confront him and his friend inside the tomb. This is a problem because once you enter the tomb, the door locks behind you and Argomir has the key. You have to kill him and retrieve the key from his corpse otherwise you're locked in there permanently. If he flees before you kill him, you're stuck. This happens to me EVERY TIME and I figure it's got to be either Fran's or MMM causing it, but I don't know which and regardless I'm not about to disable either mod just to fix this one bug.

 

What I thought I'd do instead is create my own mod to tweak the Argomir NPC so he won't flee. I'm not sure what I need to adjust, though. Confidence would be my guess? How high does it need to be before he'll stop high-tailing it out the door taking the key with him? If I just arbitrarily set it as high as it'll go to be safe, will that break something else?

you simply have to set confidence to 100 - that's all and it won't break anything

just make sure youre doing that with frans and mmm activated
