beato
hi thereeverything was working nice and smooth except for my radio stuttering most of the time, strangely not always.a few people wrote that's what you get for using vista (i have vista home premium 32bit, if that's important)at that time i had CCCP and ac3filter installed.to get rid of the stuttering i followed the advice of another user to open my ac3 configuration->system and change the default audio renderer from direct sound to wave out.so far so good, no more stuttering radios, but all sounds were a lot quiter than before.-changed it back to direct sound, but that didn't change anything back ingame...-so i read a little, deinstalled ac3 and cccp, installed k-lite codec package and MADFilter.-no change (rebooted after new codec installation, so that's not the problem). -so back to cccp+ac3filter. now when i set ac3 to direct sound everything is way too quiet AND i get radio stuttering. when i set it to wave out i get normal sound volume in the main menu, but as soon as i load a game everything goes quiet again, even the slide-projector sound you get during the loading-screen. yeah, looks like i messed something up there so help please... beato
no ideas?i can 'fix' it but turning up the system volume to about 4times the normal value but i would like to understand where this problem came from so i can avoid it in the future.besides, forgetting you set your system volume up that loud can have quite unpleasant results. Nadin
True. I'm really not sure what caused it, though a lot of what people think is glitchy stuttering is actually just a staticy signal from the station. If you don't want to adjust your main volume, you can get headphones/speakers with independent volume control.
