Lehcar
Has anyone else played through Darkspawn Chronicles yet? What do you think of it? I think it's absolutely awesome! I love it! Kind of wish they had made it a little longer, but hey. I especially love how at one point you can loot a bottle of wine off a certain NPC's corpse, and give it to one of your darkspawn buddies a gift. But I wonder, what would a darkspawn do with a bottle of wine? Get drunk? Ooooh, drunken darkspawn... LOL!!! :teehee: Though, that brings up my point about, what exactly is the point of having approval with your darkspawn pals? Doesn't seem like anything you can do can cause them to lose approval, and getting them up to maximum approval doesn't really seem to have any effect, besides giving small attribute bonuses. Hmmmm... But I think it's really fascinating to know what it's like for the darkspawn, to hear the Archdemon speaking to them and being able to understand it, and being under its influence. But can this mean that the darkspawn, or at least higher-ranking darkspawn, are really more intelligent than we think, but they just automatically do what the Archdemon tells them to do because they see no other point to their existence then obeying it? Or because the Archdemon controls them through some mind-controlling power? Or because they are afraid the Archdemon will kill them if they disobey? Or because the Archdemon is actually kind to them and they respect it? I wonder. I think the only thing that wasn't very good about Darkspawn Chronicles is that all we got for an ending was a split-second cutscene of Urthemiel taking off from the top of Fort Drakon and just flying away. But that doesn't make any sense, the reason it was stuck on top of the tower was because it's wing got ripped open by Riordan, and that wing hasn't had enough time to heal so why is it suddenly able to just take off and start flying again? I'm confused about that one. But overall, I think it was teh awesome. <
brokenergy
Darkspawn can heal quickly, that is why GW burn them. It is stated in the codex about them. I have not played it and there are a lot of conflicting reports so I can't really state my opinion at the moment.
The Mighty Bob
Exciting at the start, boring after awhile. Had a lot of trouble killing Sten on normal
SpellAndShield
Exciting at the start, boring after awhile. Had a lot of trouble killing Sten on normal  The difficultly level was crazy...like they changed it up; nightmare became nightmare+++...I had to turn it down to normal...not so much play again value...but I will because there are still two more achievements...blightblood; insanely lame and boring weapon....worth one dollar not five but I got it so I will play it. Oh, the difficulty comes from a lack of good equipment and healing options.
spets21
It`s Crap :verymad: not worth the 5$ ........ the worst DLC bioware release i cant believe i bought this /sob I feel i got ripped off  game limit review Darkspawn Chronicles is a cheap piece of DLC with a number of issues, but if you enjoy Dragon Age’s combat system (or the prospect of two more achievements), you might some enjoyment out of it, especially if you read the codex entries that explain what happened while the Wardens were under Alistair’s employ. elooocin
You get an achievement for getting max approval from all your darkspawn pals  But I don't get why people are hating on the little Add-On - I mean, come on people, what did you expect? It's an Add-On which means it will be short and over pretty fast, not to mention it is separate from the game so there would be nothing else to it. Why the disappointment? Why the 'this is crap'? Surely no one expected more than what we received from it? DC was everything I expected it to be, actually a bit more since it was so freaking difficult which I really liked! I always play on Nightmare so when I went into the game it was set as that and I kept dying so had to kick it down to Normal. I really loved the Sheik and Ogre, they were my favorites to control! I actually ignored my Vanguard from the moment I got those other two since they were way more fun with new abilities I had never played with before. I wonder if this little add-on will effect shapeshifting mods for the base game now? Since we have these new abilities and such for them. And yeah, Sten was so freaking hard to kill omg!!!! THREE of my people died before I got him down finally, It was like one hit from his sword kicked my health down to near death. Man, I want to know his stats since he was the hardest to kill I want to set him up like that in the base game, lolol! But I also loved seeing all the Origins people fighting, from Gorim to Ser Perth and people like the old Arl's son running around and Goldanna - very cool. I think the easiest person to kill was the battle with Wynne and the Templars, that just went by super fast - thankfully! Like two hits and she was down then it was easy pickings to get the Templars off your pack. And I liked the fact there were no mages to fight ... proves Alistair would have destroyed the Circle for his Templar buddies  All in all I enjoyed the little Add-On, I will play it at least once more to max out darkspawn approval to get that achievement and then try to figure out what the one other achievement I am missing is ... since it says a mystery  But after that I probably won't play it again, but I can't complain about the game, it was more than I expected it to be. spets21
nah TBH i was expecting more from bioware since the release of awakening maybe an DLC on awakening to explore the lands more or have some new relationships in game may be a new map like a part of tervinter or someshit and continue its storyline ,not DS killing my old comrades oh well that`s my taste tho :whistling: .............i like the name of Alistair`s dog tho lol as for that last achievement i think it ses that your ogre must survive for the entire game and not die once or at least like that haven't paid much attention to it really .oh well till the next DLC release then :ninja:
elooocin
Oh I think I got that achievement actually, which was odd b/c my ogre died once lolol! But ohhh you know now that I think about it ... I think that achievement I am missing is for Awakening if I side against Architect since I didn't in my first playthrough. It's just at the bottom by the DC stuff so I think I got it confused lolol!! SaturnC
I just got it and haven't finished it yet but I love it. I was happy to see there were no mod conflicts that I could tell as of yet. The console commands work so I'm happy. I laughed when I ran into Ogrim and seeing Ser Landry was a real hoot! I haven't gotten past Bann Teagan yet so I'll be able to play more after I get back to sleep cause it's way too early to keep playing, although it's been really fun so far. I wonder if this little add-on will effect shapeshifting mods for the base game now?Shapeshifting remains the same, no changes from what I have seen except the shapeshifter mod I use does not work, but I don't need it or care to play with it as a Darkspawn. Lehcar
One thing I'm really baffled about though, is this. I can't kill Wade because Herren randomly transforms into a Desire Demon and teleports him away before I can slaughter him. First time this happened I thought it was just a fluke, but then when it kept happening I was like, "WTF? This is extremely weird, why does this keep happening??" But... so... Herren's a... a... Desire Demon? THE HELL? Where is the POINT in that revealation? And why the heck would a Desire Demon be working as the grumpy helper/boss/whatever of a master blacksmith?!
