Hello, I have noticed no one has done this yet, or at least I could not find anyone that has done this before. I would like to know just personal opinions, before I start, I would like to say the following.

1.) I own a few dedicated servers that would have 0 lag on any game i host on it (Some games are already on them)

2.) I am a huge fan of oblivion

with those said here is my idea, using the "MultiTes4" multiplayer mod, and attempt to put in a party system and quest system, also attempt to deactivate the ~console commands, and have it setup on a 24/7 dedicated server, Would anyone like to see this happen? so that they may play with others, or would you think people would abuse the ~ command too much in offline, then bring there characters to the server?, and if it is done, do you think it would be popular online to do.

and just give w/e you want to add to this discussion, I am currently working on this as we speak, and going to make a loader for it, for people to replace there oblivion.exe and it will auto do my server.

It sounds like a cool idea, but my Internet connection would not be fast enough for it.

I really don't know what you could do about cheating. Disabling console commands would be great, but it wouldn't really do the job. Modders can create god items and spells and then go play your game. People who are not modders can download mods with them from TES Nexus. It might be boring to people, if they were not allowed to bring all their cool gear and had to start new characters for use only in your game. But that might be a viable option.

Maybe you could somehow impose very severe penalties for player-killing. That way it wouldn't matter much if all the god items were used against monsters and villains instead of player characters. Maybe you could time people out. If they killed players three times, then they would be banned for one day. This would mean that player-killing would still occur, and would keep everyone on their toes and add excitement, but would make the world safer for those who were not cheating with god items. I can imagine some people would enjoy logging on as villains, killing their three people, and then doing something else until they could play again the next day.
