LE [Request] Simple Horse Mod

Dear all, While I've got a few projects on the go at the moment there's one idea I've got that I'm not really sure how to approach, so I'm putting it up here as a request.

 

While there's some really good horse mods out there, they either don't do what I'd like, or add lots of other stuff I don't like, or a mixture of the two. What I'd really like are a few, simple (with regards to gameplay) features:

 

1) Interactive saddlebags; basically I want to be able to walk up to my horse, look at the saddlebag, and activate it like any other container. No hotkey, no remote access, simply a bag, on my horse.

 

2) Horse armour; I'd like to see an immersive armour system. I should be able to craft and equip my horse with whatever I like in game. Or even purchase armours from stables. No swapping things in MCM's. Simply buy/craft and equip (even temper) like you would any player armour.

 

3) Horse call; This is a feature I really like from Convenient Horses. A simple whistle and then a black out (time shift) and the horse is with you.

 

And that's it. A nice, simple, clean horse mod that rolls a really nice core set of improvements whilst remaining true to Vanilla form. If no-one picks this up I'll probably end up looking into it myself, but like I said, I've got a few other projects going on, and I hope someone with more experience in this area might like to pick this one up.

I dont think the first one is possible, since whenever you hit the use button at a horse you mount it. You would have to have some sort of button change to do that.

The rest are all possible I am working on the 2nd actually, you can check my gallery for WIP, lots of craftable stuff but you have to hit a hotkey (changeable in MCM) to open the horses inventory.

There are some horse whistle mods out there, a few use script dragon which is not really "good". But you could try steam it has too:

Thanks for the links. Horse Inventory certainly does most of what I was looking for. Shame about the saddlebag idea though. I may still have a stab at it if I get the chance. Maybe it's possible to have an activator mounted on the armour or something. I'll have to do a lot more research into modelling and skeleton rigging.
