dragonagefun Posted May 21, 2010 Share Posted May 21, 2010 Hey everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know my first adventure mod titled "Temple of Vulak" is released for play. This is a massive dungeon crawl featuring very powerful bosses for you to slay. I have also added over 50+ customized items ranging from rings, belts, armor with set bonuses, and an assortment of weapons for players to earn. My motivation for creating this mod was the fact i have beaten this game over and over. I installed Nightmare Plus, and went through the game easily. I started to get bored of the game, since I can download all the cool Item mods, yet i'm still playing the same game. So I set out to create an adventure package that is extremely challenging, requires tactics, and careful play to extend the life of this game. I started this project with the intention of using 2 areas. Before I even began, I started adding in more and more areas and by the time I started this adventure had grown to 13 areas! During the several weeks of designing, I encountered many challenges with the toolset, so I would spend many days asking questions and experimenting through trials and errors. Anyhow, I hope you guys will check it out and give me some feedbacks. I hope this adventure will bring some enjoyment (or maybe frustration) to players, who like me, have beaten the core game many many times. While creating the mod, I had "Adonnay's Weapon Replacer" mod installed, which alters alot of my item's looks. I also had "Improved Atmosphere" which provided some additional item models to work with in the toolset. If you acquire loot but it seems bugged, it's probably because I designed it based on what was provided by those 2 specific mods. If there IS a problem (and i'm not sure if there is), please let me know. I can recode the items to other materials, appearances etc... Well, here is the link. DarkeWolf Posted May 22, 2010 Share Posted May 22, 2010 Hey, cool! Congrats on getting it all sorted out and releasing it! I took a look thru the pics. As Vegeta once said "Oh my god... That's one WHOPPER of a lizard!" HAhaha now I can SEE why the melee weaps couldnt hit him.HUGE revenant! Nice. Interesting bow in the pics too! LOL It gave me flashbacks of some that my ranger had in Guild Wars :laugh:I havent played DA in a while, but its definitely tempting to load it back up to try this out. One really, really small suggestion just out of personal opinion tho. I'd probably credit Adinos for his DAtool mod, in the description, if it was me. Obviously it's up to you, but I think that such a great tool deserves recognition for the part that it played in the creation of your adventure. :smile: Its good to see all of those hours of work and frustration that you were talking about. It must feel really good to have it out and available.
