Robe of the Yellow Sign

First off, this is a robe I think might be difficult to do right, so I'd like you to (if you'll excuse my arrogance) consider this something of a contest. Not much of one, and the prize is just that I'll write you anything you want (two pages single-space Times New Roman maximum), and you'll get an avatar in my newest mod, Dim Carcosa; I'll admit it's a poor one.

 

Regardless, here the challenge is.

 

The basics: the mesh, that of the regular Mythic Dawn robe, UFF female version if you please (and don't bother if you don't).

 

The symbol in the chest is this one: http://belfastscienc...es/image002.gif , the infamous Yellow Sign, said to be able to drive the unwary viewer utterly mad. So be careful clicking the link, eh?

 

The robe's color... metallic gold.

 

That's right. Glittery metallic gold. Preferrably the same color and shine as the bikinis those women on Superbowl Sunday wear, and the difficulty of getting the texture right (shiny but not too shiny) is why I call it a contest, so people won't see one person do it and just walk on.

 

No, this is for everyone.

Meh, but hey, if this isn't for your Tzimisce mod or Mad scientist mod would you be willing to shed a little more information on what it's for? Or is it just something you want? Out of curiousity

For a second when I read the topic it made me think you wanted someone to make a robe with the big yellow exclamation mark of hate, I would have laughed, but still made it.

@Krimzin: Sorry, that was supposed to be 'don't both if you don't,' in other words, if the texturer isn't willing to use the UFF mesh, they shouldn't bother making the mod at all.

 

@Annira: Yes, but I WANT to drive them mad.

 

And it's a city mod, albeit a deserted one. A recreation of Lost Carcosa, a piece of Lovecraftian lore.

I'm gonna pass on this one ;p - I dislike contests, and if you want it to be that great to make a real contest out of it my work probably isn't good enough ;p

I can certainly understand a dislike of contests, although I think you sell yourself short. I have seen the Robe of Yig, and it is good.

 

As in, 'The Loord looked at what He had made, and it was good" style of good.

 

@Krimzin: Yeah, good ol H.P. Not the most sterling person morals-wise, but a writer good enough to make purple prose work for him.
