Mod problem

I try using the daupdater to add the character respec mod. I've downloaded it from several different sites and everytime, the updater says error. The log is

Permissions issue I believe, daupdater.exe doesn't have access rights to files in your my documents directory. Do you have admin rights and are you running the daupdater program as an administrator?

 

Have you tried using DAModder instead, it might not have the same issue with security as daupdater?

Yep, I think Terra is on top of it. It's a files permisson issue. The program needs to have administrative rights.

find your daupdater.exe file in the folder where you installed the game. It should be inside a folder named "bin_ship". Right click on it, and choose Run as Administrator.

 

I'll also second what Terra said about using DAmodder- whoops the snot outta DAupdater.exe as far as functionality! http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=286
