dancinninja
I have been selling all my items to one guy, Sinderion, in the basement of the inn (the one across from the fighters guild). He pays well, so I only go to him. Problem is, he now has a MASSIVE stock of everything that I've sold to him. That, in turn, makes the computer have to "think" for 2 full seconds after I sell something before it's taken from my inventory; and take a solid 60 just to load the merchant's screen. Yes, the lag IS because of his large inventory, I've tested it. I turned off collision and stole all of his items from his 'mercantile chest' below the floor. After that, any transaction that I make is instant. I've tried using the editor, trying to sever the ties to the chest, to no avail. If I delete the chests (yes, he has several, for his quest line) the game will spawn new ones, (again, because he needs it for the quests). My question is this: How do I make his inventory 'reset' or take the huge number of items away from him?If it ends up that the only way to do this is to make him stop selling the stuff that I sold to him, so be it, I don't need any of it anyway, which is why I sold it in the first place! Thank you for any help that you can provide, I just cant stand waiting 2 seconds for every piece I have to sell. For instance, when I am trying to get my mercantile skill up, selling 700 iron arrows one at a time, it becomes beyond tolerable. Thanks.
Erlkoenig
If you have min sys requirements then you should know that it is worse than it should be.You should either contact the technical support from the launcher or find a script that resets it. dancinninja
I did it! I found a way! When the merchant in question gets too much "stuff" in his/her inventory, do the following: Press the tilda key '~' to open up the command prompt, then, type in: "tcl" (without quotes) to turn off collision. Press the tilda key again to return to normal gameplay. You can now go through the floor and walls. Go outside of the 'room' to find a mostly black void, but, you should be able to find a treasure chest (or five in my case), it will be the merchants chest that stores all of your sold items. Press the tilda key again but this time, click on the chest in question, (a weird name will appear up top), and type in: "removeAllItems" (again, without quotes). This will clear EVERYTHING that he/she had, including the stuff that they default with, so use with caution. Go back to normal space, do the "tcl" code again and you're done! Speedy selling! No lag! Yippy! [Problem Solved]
Sypron
Just for safety, insted of removeing all items, take all of his ones out, then use the code, then put his stuff back in.
