Victor Alkaiser Posted May 14, 2006 Share Posted May 14, 2006 Okay...I've been to Planet Elder Scrolls Forum and no one...absolutely no one...answered my questions... Please don't be like them...please help me out here..it's not a big question, and probably has a simple solution, but i just couldn't find it...please help me out...anyway...here it is.. This is my scenario: When I used to play Morrowind, I had a main character called Luna, a White Tiger Khajiit (one of Alienslof's mods). When I got Oblivion, I figured I should continue her legacy. of course, there aren't any "White Tiger Khajiits" in the game, and thus settled for the normal Khajiit until Alienslof made a new White Tiger Khajiit for Oblivion. Today, I downloaded a mod called Capucine's Character Expansion, and it works great. I love the huge selection of eyes, and my favorite in particular for my Luna is the blue eyes... Also, I looked around the site, and found, to my surprise, the Skyrim Khajiit mod, which looks exactly like a White Tiger Khajiit. I happily downloaded it and it works perfectly (and looks good too), though for some reason my character is a mute, but that doesn't matter at the moment... Of course, I found out that the Capucine's Eyes don't work for this new character. This was of course obvious. So I opened the editor, and put on the Skyrim Khajiit and the Capucine's Character Expansion mods, setting the Capucine's mod as active, and began to drag the eyes into the Skyrim Khajiit's window. It seemed easy, just dragging and adding them in there... I saved it all, closed it, then turned on Oblivion with both mods active of course...started a new game, and tried it out...I just had the default eyes for the Skyrim Khajiit.....x.x I tried everything to get it working with this new character, and nothing seems to be working..it's like it doesn't even SEE the eyes there..... Here are the steps I took to add the eyes...please, if you see an error or a step I missed, PLEASE tell me...I'd love to have my Luna with the blue eyes in the Capucine's mod.... -Opened TES editor-turned on Skyrim Khajiit and Capucine's Character Expansion mods-set Capucine's on active (I've also tried setting Skyrim Khajiit on active and editting that, and it still didn't work...)-opened the Races and the Eyes windows.-clicked on Skyrim Khajiit (Frostiger is the EditorID)-clicked on the Body Data tab, and began dragging all the Capucine Khajiit eyes into the "Eye Color" window inside the Body Data tab (names were CapEyeKhajiitBlack, CapEyeKhajiitBlue and so on...)-once finished adding them, I pressed OK, went to File, Save, made sure it saved completely, then exited. So....did I make an error somewhere? Am I missing a check box or something somewhere? someone PLEASE help..this is the only thing stopping me from making my character. Thanks in advance.... CirceTheSiren Posted May 14, 2006 Share Posted May 14, 2006 Hmm i havent token a very deep look inside Oblivion Moding since my toon is only Level 20 havent encountered the level 25 leveled creature/items contend.As in Morrowind you could handle anything within the same race & birthsign with enableracemenu...you use showracemenu within the console and alter your existing savegame.Install the plugins seperately as they might conflict in parts that alter default settings...without nif-tools you cant point meshes to different textures.Modders have created their textures assigned to a specific nif-file..just renaming/overwriting with dds from the other Mods usually provides a different look that is worse than before.look for conflicts between the mods and alter the load order so that your favorite mod load as intented..sometimes parts of other mods need to get deleted as well..though back up all files and puzzle might create something unintended that is acceptable as well. So i would suggest to check all modifications at a place without such a horrible lightning as the prison zell. So make sure that all esps are loaded in the needed order..save into a new slot--open console..type"showracemenu"..now you can change all without starting from scratch again.Dont hit "Done" never.Browse through new Hairs and eyes and alter Face,Tone.Shape etc....after you are ready..hit escape and save into another new slot and reload that game..in that moment your char shapeshift with all skillups and such...you can redo that at any time.Even if you manage to alter different plugins you will get in serious trouble if new versions or upgrades will become available.If might take a while but without something like TESAME or better you shouldnt merge plugins as in Morrowind.Alter them one by one and try to block conflicts by using the ignore(hit delete key in the details..though resaving within the cs will completely remove all not-loaded plugins parts..so backup even esp).You might also install a mod that adds numbers top the char gen sliders..though without a lock option for sliders and no save within the chargeneration starting a new game is a *censored*.Good luck for your custom ...though i never felt the reason to start a new char just for another Face,Eye,Ear,Hair whatever i try them with my toon eventually keep them until i find something better...sooner or later...dont leave yourself alone. CirceTheSiren Posted May 14, 2006 Share Posted May 14, 2006 Hmm on second thought..maybe as you were talking mostly about eyes..there shouldt be such a problem..if you activated the esp at launch for the eyes you should get additional eyes chooseable in the charselektion nevertheless even if the altered default ones might got overriden differently..also check for archive invalidation file...i forget such simple basic things since i use only a few lines..that were included from the smoth faces Plugin.. i only have added a few more..only the last 2..but i dont even know if they are needed at all..but i never need to paste anything more..regardless of contend..i dont know how but it works fine.
