Starbound How to create a mod from scratch?

Hi people:

I would like to create a mod.

Once I have it, I will share as you all did.

Basically, I would like to have pointer or if you know of a guide or where to learn.

1. Get the Creation Kit on (Steam)

 

2. Open Creation Kit -

 

3. Find the little folder icon in the top left corner of the menu bar press it

 

4. in dialog the box click the Skyrim.esm and Update.esm boxes to the left

of each and press the "ok" button on the bottom right hand corner - wait... it will take a bit - dialog box will pop up -

just press "Yes to All" button and wait some more...

 

5. the object window will open up and basically this is primarilly what you will be working with for tweaking. Just go thru and familiarize yourself with all the windows by clicking on the liittle plus boxes to open more options for that tree and drop down menus for more options of items

 

6. Double click on something that strikes your fancy and look at the layout and change something in the areas you can, then if you changed what you want, and want to save it.

Find the little Floppy Disk Icon next to the folder icon back up in the main menu to the top left and press it.

Then name it whatever you like

 

7. take the file you just made ( should be an .esp) and drag and drop it into your "Data" folder

 

8. load up Skyrim go to the Data option find your file make sure it has an "X" in the box

 

9. go back to main menu and "Start Game"
