Mod Textures way to Glossy using blender

So i have started getting ready to release some of my MAD MAX mods

 

Now i have noticed in game the textures a super Glossy.

 

I am using blender and have turned all gloss completely off.

 

the weapon looks awesome in the dark but once you go out side the gloss is so high you can hardly see the textures

 

Please help been looking around everywhere and there is not much on this topic please help very much thank you

Nifscope might help you do little stuff like that, rather than Blender. Heck if you are not creating a new object then you don't even need blender. Yah there's gloss an materials inside the .Nif If it were me I'd just use settings I got from looking at a similar vanilla item.

 

Besides it being a hokie pokie way to adjust just from it sometimes causing weird renders, there's the fact that Gloss among other things is hidden inside the normal map. I think it's gloss an specular which is hidden inside the alpha channel of the normal map. Anyhow, just do an advanced search on the nexus forums with "normal" or "normal map" should pull up some tips on working with it. Also I think there's some stuff inside the Articles database on the Nexus downloads page.
