How to lower recoil of a mod weapon?

Just use FO3Edit (recommended) or the GECK. Note that recoil does not exist in fallout, only weapon spread. You can change weapon spread and reload time with FO3Edit or the GECK by opening up the mod and well, editing the items. It's fairly simple

OK, recoil by technical terms may not exist, but the weapon i have has a higher amount of barrel rise when fired....which in the real world you'd call recoil but maybe in the game it has to do with something else. I've played with the spread and that has no effect on the way the gun itself moves when fired. Yeah it gets dead nuts accurate but the barrel still flies WAY up when fired. How can i change that? I've been all through the GECK and i can't find anything that seems to have any effect on this.

LOL are we playing the same game? You know how when you're shooting a sniper rifle through the scope, and you fire and your cross hair flies up? That's what i'm talking about. Isn't that recoil? Or is there another name for it? I'm not using any mods other than the weapon mods itself.

It seems this thread is rather old however I was wondering if someone could possibly help me. I have been trying to completely eliminate the spread of my weapons. I had tried using mods to do this but the mods would overwrite my custom weapon meshes with the vanilla ones. I then attemped to modify the Spread value of the custom weapons in both FO3Edit and GECK but the spread has not improved at all and I am at a loss. Any info is much appreciated.
