Beards and short hair

Let get straight to the point: I like beards!

There is practically no character of mine, who does not have a beard if he is neither a woman or a sissy elf(which is not so far from being the same thing...)

 

 

I'm far from knowing anything of the issue WHY setting a beard(besides clicking the exact position on the slider) resets the face to a dead-mans hollowed face, but if someone knows how to FIX this: please do it!!!

 

Sadly the variation of beards is very small in Dragon Age, even the dwarven folk, often famed for their beards do have very limited number at their disposal. Beards can really change the whole impression one gets from a man, so it is a pity that they are underestimated by many people.

That is why I would love seeing a mod for beards. And I don't mean just some big bushy beards, but also short, styled beards.

 

Another thing I miss are short hairstyles. Why does a character have to be bald or nearly bald, have a hairstyle one can see at every corner today or long hair like not a single person in whole Ferelden would know what scissors are and how they are used?

Definitely bumping for the short hair request! I have some of the hair mods, and I appreciate and enjoy them, but there is a definitive lack of short, spiky/punkish styles for female characters. When playing NWN and most other rpgs, I almost always use short hair.

 

Some color combos would be cool too, like black hair with red tips or highlights.

I'd love to see more beards. Moreso for HM than anybody else. Full beards, big beards, styled beards, short, full short beards, etc. Lots of variety.

 

The issue with the 3D beards is the character chin or cheeks clipping the model of the beard. That's why the facial ticks are automatically set, to stop any clipping. So you have to deal with the "dead man's face" for the 3D beards. I'm sure this can be worked around though. But only on a beard by beard basis. You would have to keep whatever face shape comes with a particular beard.
