I think every type of music is great and interesting in it's own way. But of course I also have my favourites. I like people who make somewhat different music, not the way like everyone else does it. That's why I think Pink Floyd was so great. But also some of the classical componists made very interesting music (my favourites: Paul Hindemith, who made very queer music, and also J.S. Bach). I think that most of today's bands make much to common and commercial music, someone should try to do something different.

Rap music in the 1700's? Haha. Try 1980's, it was spawned from the underground of Detroit, and evolved? Yeah, now instead of random words and hippity hop, it's about "thugs, pimping, and hoes". Thats really evolving.

 

And music, I prefer my music hard and heavy, wickedly heavy.

 

Tvangeste, Burzum, At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Emperor, Thus Defiled, Amon Amarth, Death, the list can go on and on....

 

I do like power metal and goth metal though, The Gathering, Nightwish, Blind Guardian, etc....
