A few days ago I got a few mods from the Nexus and realized that most of them didn't properly install, by this I mean I did not see the titles of these mods in the 'Plugins' section of the Manager nor in the 'Files' section of the Fallout 3 entrance screen. If there is a deceitfully simple reason for this issue, or if there are simple instructions, or a simple fix, please alert me. If not please tell me anyway and instructions to fix said issues. GamerGlyph Posted August 31, 2014 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Most mods will install using the Nexus Mod Manager and so you won't need to guess at how to install them if you use that. If you have to manually install a mod then you need to pay careful attention to what goes into the Data folder and what stays in the root folder of the game; as with Skyrim that often has files install into both sections; keep in mind that any files that install into the root folder of the game must be done manually as Nexus Mod Manager will NOT do this for you. Most of the mods on the Nexus forums should have clear and easy to understand install instructions, if they don't get in contact with the author(s) and politely ask them to clarify. If that doesn't work then report the mod and Nexus may or may not take it down; otherwise it's probably crap anyway so just ignore it; any author who can't give clear instructions for the install of his or her mod probably doesn't know what they are doing. I only have used Nexus for Fallout 3 and Skyrim so any other games I might be hard pressed to help you with.
