Ranger mod

I want to be a kind of ranger. With a wool cloak, sleeping under the stars with a bed roll and building my campfires.

 

Now, alot of this I already have, but there is one key thing.

 

Why is it that my bow is useless?

 

I put 60 arrows through the head of a Grummite, and I expect it to die. Yet it keeps on living. Is there a mod that will make bows more powerful, or at least regarding headshots.

 

Because I want to be able to use my bow as a primary weapon. To be able to know I can rely on it. Still keep a dagger, or sword, but mainly use the bow.

 

This is possibly the reason I mainly play F3. Because ranged weapons work.

Okay here:

- Now arrows have 95% chance to stay on a corpse (original = 50%)

- Arrows stay on a ground 15 min (original = 1.5 min)

- Max number of arrows that can stay = 100 (original = 15)

- Effective and maximum distance for arrows = 2 x original

- Gravity for arrows = original / 2 (for better aim)

- Changed position of the enemy health indicator in Mighty_Bows_Small_Crosshair mod. Not it should be symmetrical relative to the crosshair.

 

 

Added 3 mods:

 

 

- Mighty_Bows_Bonus_Damage mod rebalances bows for "Combat" archers, which don't actively use Stealth. I recommend use it with Mighty_Bows_Improved_Firerate mod.

 

Each bow now have damage (with full tension of bow-string) = 2H Warhammer dmg from the same material

 

E.g.

2H Steel Warhammer dmg = 16, so Steel Bow dmg = 16 (original = 9)

2H Daedric Warhammer dmg =28, so Daeric Bow dmg = 28 (original = 20)

 

 

 

- Mighty_Bows_Sneak_DMG_Bonus mod makes Marksman Sneak damage multiplier equal to Sneak multiplier for melee weapons.

 

So Novice Marksman will do 4x damage (original value =2x), Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert and Master Marsksman will do 6x damage (original value = 3x)

 

Settings changed

fPerkSneakAttackMarksmanApprenticeMult (3->6)

fPerkSneakAttackMarksmanJourneymanMult (3->6)

fPerkSneakAttackMarksmanExpertMult (3->6)

- Mighty_Bows_Sneak_DMG_Bonus_Alt is alternative mod for changing Marksman Sneak damage multiplier, which makes development of Marksman skill more noticeable. For that Marksman Sneak damage multiplier increases every rank in Marksman skill.

 

Final Sneak dmg multipliers:

 

Novice = 2 (original value = 2)

Apprentice = 3 (original value = 3)

Journeyman = 4 (original value = 3)

Expert = 5 (original value = 3)

Master = 6 (original value = 3)

 

Settings changed

The mod includes four mini-mods:

Double Damage for Arrows - Csimbi.esp

Double physical (not magical!) damage for arrows.

Double Damage for Bows - Csimbi.esp

Double physical (not magical!) damage for bows.

Quad Damage for Arrows - Csimbi.esp

Quadruple physical (not magical!) damage for arrows.

Quad Damage for Bows - Csimbi.esp

Quadruple physical (not magical!) damage for bows.

This mod is a partial re-creation of [QDA].

I created this to myself because [QDA] keeps crashing with [MMM] and [C&R].

It appears the crashes are due to the Fine Steel Bow (WeapSteelBowFine), so this has its ignore flag set. Feel free to switch off the ignore flag if You are not playing [MMM] (will not crash the game then).

Updated:

This mod had some problems, missing meshes and textures mainly.

This update fixes that and the bows work in the game.

I have decided to upload this fix so that if you download it you only need to activate the mod.

 

To the original modder: If you want me to remove this fix let me know and I'll remove it.
