Thx, Spets! This one has the correct expansion of "SOL" (as intended in my original post. The 2nd definition listed there is the better vernacular :biggrin: )

 

I had not realized that this was a particularly (exclusively?) American expression, that can be translated more comprehensively as: "What you require/expect/request/desire will not occur and there's nothing you can do about it... At all... Ever."

Admins should really do a sticky thread with all lists of Abbreviation and Acronyms just like in other forums on the net for a much easy understanding , people can also add if some are missing/lacking in to that thread.

 

makes it more convenient for other people who can't understand the shortcuts to search and read the terms that they don't understand. :thumbsup:
