Well my copy of Oblivion won't run at all any more, crashes right after starting the "Bethesda" screen. I don't think this is a modding issue so much as an "I hate Steam SO MUCH" issue. BUT, I was having issues with random crashes like ten or so minutes in, including a corruption of the last save file before the crash.

If I can't play my game, I might as well trouble-shoot it. I use BOSS, Wrye Bash, and OBMM together. I haven't had any major problems leading up to this latest crashing issue, and since I can't reliably open the game anymore I can't just dick around in the load order until it works. Therefor, I ask the experts!

I'm not actually using Haubergeon, by the way, since it's dependent on that BBB stuff. It's still in Vilja's inventory so I can't remove the mod just yet.

Hopefully someone sees this and decides to help out! I'd appreciate it massively. I'm sure there's a million of these floating about.

Huh, wait. I don't want to use that one at all-- I thought I disabled it in the first place... it's not necessary, right? I'm going to uncheck it and try to load Oblivion up again.

Well it looks like Oblivion still won't load up, so blaming Steam (again) was probably the right thing. But, I don't doubt that fixing that mod will fix most of my crashing problems. Thankyou for pointing that out to me, man! Now I just gotta scream at my Steam client until it works again.

 

EDIT: Having fixed my problem with Steam, I've gone into Oblivion and found that the random CTDs are still happening. The game runs perfectly, then suddenly crashes down, regardless of where I am or what I'm doing, or what I did before the crash. For relevant info, I'm also going to post an image of my OBMM. http://postimg.org/image/hdgju52vn/

I"m also using the Profile Manager, and I've had some problems with ini files while using this. I also have a handy image of this... http://postimg.org/image/tnpjble5j/

 

Any ideas?
