Mod Request Thread

The question i wanted to ask is why modders keep doin those weapon, armor, clothing etc. mods. We already have thousands of them, IMO they should strive to add QUALITY not quantity to Oblivion. I'd love to see more mods like Kea's Skill Extender, MMM 1.71...etc., these mods enrich gameplay, ads more life and role-playing to Oblivion. What I see now is that most of the mods are made for casuals and not serious RPG gamers, and I could dispense with most of these mods, and c'mon people why you requesting minor things? I think you can enjoy the game without those items or half-cheating abilities...

Exactly. But my guess is that only 1-2% of all requests here have actually been answered, and those probably didn't include retextures or whole new armors and weapons. Same goes for cheats I think.

I think it would be really great if someone could create a mod that allows enchanting items to have more than one enchantment.

 

for example you use a soul gem to enchant an item you can only use 1 enchanment and thats it

being able to enchant multiple enchantments onto a created item would be sooo helpful

 

or if that doesn't take your fancy

 

A mod that allows googles (eye wear), ninja face masks (previous mod) and hoods to be worn at the same time, hoods can be worn and then either masks or googles can be worn, but they can't be done together

 

any of those take u fancy??

Hello to everyone. First of all, let me apologize for making my first post on the forum a mod request, since I'm sure you're already inundated with them. It's a rather small request, though, and I think a lot of people would benefit from it.

 

I'd like to see a mod similar to the Alchemy Sorter mods that are out there (do a search for 'Alchemy Sorter' in the files library or click this link to see what I'm talking about), except instead of sorting alchemy ingredients, it sorts stolen items. Here's how such a mod would work: the player clicks on a chest, triggering a script that moves all stolen items from their inventory into the chest. This would be a godsend for players like me, who like to grab a LOT of stolen items (I'm playing with Oscuro's overhaul - most houses have nice stuff) and move them from town to town. Currently if I have a lot of stolen goods in Cheydinhal and want to move them to a chest in Bruma, I have to physically move every item from my inventory into the container, a painstaking procedure that takes me over 15 minutes and often causes the game to crash. I do like having to move items from city to city, since it makes the game more realistic, but transferring them to chests one by one makes me want to pull my hair out.

 

Minimally, the mod would just move all stolen items into a single chest, but it would also be great if it were possible put them into chests separated by type, such as armor, weapons, books, etc. Each city would have one of these sorting chests in an acessible location, perhaps an inn or next to the town's Thieves' Guild fence.

 

I'd love to be able to do this myself, but I'm knee-deep in my Data Structures and Algorithms class in college right now and I think if I had to learn a new scripting language I'd commit sepuku. Thanks for your time and interest.

 

EDIT: I just remembered, when you get captured by the guards the game puts all of your stolen items in the evidence chest, similar to what my proposed script describes. Would that make this easier to implement?

Could someone make a mod alla this armor. It is sacred (Yet Unenchanted) light armor. it has not to be so ripped up and such, but is has to look a like for at least a bit.

And i have yet another good idea (How arrogant of me). When i say film, i saw that the some of the soldier fought with two-handed longswords, not the size of claymores but the size of a plain stell longsword. if someone could make a two handed steel longsword (like i said, the size of a steel longsword not of a claymore), spread it in the leveled loot list or so (This spreading in the leveled list is just a idea) and make it not enchanted than i would be in heaven! :rolleyes:

And yet another idea. (this is getting annoying!) The Chimer just passed my mind. I searched till i dropped dead and found something. The Chimer where a small cult of high elfs with a gold (Duh) coulored skin, white eyes with the colour ring around your pupil (Cant figure the word for it) golden. Because they stopped worshipping the Daedra (Azura & Co) the daedra (especially Azura) cursed them into Being Dark Elvish. A part of that curse was that their betrayed (the chimer betrayed Nerevar, he was also a chimer) War-general Nerevar would rise again and cast down their gods they favored more than the Daedra (Vivec, Almalexia and Sotha Sil are the favored gods).

 

But to the point i want to have the Chimer race in their full glory, golden skin, no high elf weaknesses to elemental damage, a normal Dark Elvish length of their body and 10+ boosts in destruction,blade,marksman,restoration and 5+ boosts in Light armor, speechcraft and illusion. Their atributes would be:(i'm noting the starter atributes now)

strength: 40 35

intelligence: 45 50

willpower: 40 35

agility: 45 45

speed: 55 55

endurance: 40 35

personality: 30 40

luck: 50 50

 

Their natural advantages wil be:

resist magic 25%, resist disease 50%, and i guess a creative modder could figure some power out themself.

 

Or something like this. Their resurrection could be noted as in the race chose screen :

"As a result of experiments of Divayth Fyr, he accidently summoned a portal to the dimension some chimer accidently arrived.

Before he could shut the portal some Chimer already runned through and hid in the surrounding lands, learning of the world and how it was changed. They quikly learned how to use blade and bow, and use the shadows in their advantage. However they where not accepted on the island of Vvardenfell and driven to the Imperial Province to prove their luck there."

 

or something similiar, i guess it is a little to long.

Airship... A zeppelin or something like that. Would even cooler if a tower dock could be built for it. And the airship would be just like a ship from the inside (w/ cabins and all). Maybe a crew too!

 

Though it must be fantasy style, too! Either something like what had crashed in the bloodmoon (some of you have played that official mod for morrowind, no?) or spooky looking airship looking like it could fall apart any second, kinda ghost-ship like :)

 

Just popped into my mind. I dont think those kind of things have even their own category?

After recently watching the lord of the rings the two towers, and seeing how cool Lgolas's clothes are, and not being able to find it anywhere I was wondering if a kind person would be able to make it for me, it would be probably equal to mithril and be a light armor. It would also be awesome if they could make the bow and arrows as well. Much appreciated and I have inclosed a pic aswell so you know what I'm talking about.
