We need a mod that makes Cyrodiil surrounded by water like Morrowind was. Then there would be no need for these lame oblivion transports to areas made in mods.

Morrowind was surrounded by water because it's supposed to be.

 

Cyrodiil is surrounded by other provinces. Surrounding it with water wouldn't make any sense.

Since I apparently have been forgotten *sob*, here's my original post.

 

How to describe this...well, you know how when you move one slider for facial features/skin color in the create a character menu, other sliders move as well? I was wondering if there was a mod out there that keeps those other sliders from moving, so I can finally make my dream man <3

 

One thing that did come to mind though...I can understand how that might not work without having disconnected features, damaged polygons, or, well, you know what I mean. Am I wrong, myah?

 

More requests...

 

1. A mod that would increase the speed that you ready and fire your arrows. I play Ragnarok Online, and I always thought the skill Arrow Vulcan looked badass. Actually, that brings up another idea, but I'll post it right after this.

 

2. I was wondering if someone could create an outfit like this guy's...

when you make new potion, you get it added to your list of recipes, and when you want to make a potion, you check your recipe list, and if you have the ingredients, it gets made, rather than trying to remember if it was daedra teeth, ham, rice and crazy imp slime to make a potion of "cure tooth decay". The usual solution is to flip from oblivion to a spreadsheet, but how immersion breaking is that!

 

I just have a piece of paper near my computer that I write good combinations down in.

That would likely involve changing the game engine. I, too, dislike changing one texture setting, only to have some random part of the face change color. I don't much mind having the shape sliders affect other regions. In the editor, you can right-click on the face preview, and drag to alter features.

 

As for the picture, yes, it's possible, and might even be doable as a retexture. Not sure about the sandals, as I don't recall if the in-game sandals show feet or not.

I could come back to you on a couple of points, but I am tired of arguing. I sincerely wish you luck in your attempts to get someone to mod this sword for you (after all, nobody is going to force me to use it).

Due to the nature of this idea, I don't really expect anyone to make a mod for this...it's something you would need an expansion pack for. It's too large to be considered a mod. All the same, it's food for thought.

 

As we all know, there are several different ways to interact with the environment in Oblivion, and as far as combat goes, there are two. Those two are physical movement (attacking, guarding, etc.) and spells (fortification, healing, destruction magic, etc.).

 

So uh, how about physical skills? In my previous post, I talked about speeding up the rate of readying and firing arrows, to the point where it could be unrealisticly fast XD. I mean, come on, who wouldn't enjoy seeing a goblin getting hit by arrows at the speed of a gatling gun?

 

Ideas for physical skills:

  • Short-range instantaneous movement (teleporting, for the dull).
  • Using your shield like a boomerang...think Captain America.
  • A sword stab combo
  • Martial arts that would make the unarmed skill more...fun *cough*
  • Stealth kill moves.
  • A tackle!
  • Moves that would involve being airborne for a short length of time

Anyways, I play Ragnarok Online, so I'm pulling a lot of ideas from that. If this has already been suggested and shot down, I apologize. I'm not the type of guy that would read through 60 pages of text...

 

And Abramul, Braided Leather Sandals and Sack Cloth Sandals both show toes when equipped =)

That would be the Ebony Blade, I expect. Odd...it does look like a normal metal. If it did use the wood, that would explain why 'Ebony Blade' was a sufficiently distinct name.

I'm surprised you haven't seen any...odds are, you're less than level 16, or have a mod active that significantly alters leveled lists.

Since no one has even acknowledged my idea, I'll post it again. Can someone please make a Lovecraftian based race and possibly a quest too?

Make Lovecraft, not Warcraft?

 

 

@shake: There was some thought of using that as native Argonian weapon (with flint, no less!) at TR a year or two ago. Don't know if anyone did anything with it.

 

@moderati: Could someone split the Ebony discussion to a seperate topic?
