Arrow Gore

I was wondering if it was possible for a script to be made to swap the arrow out for an arrow premade with a "gore" attached to the end of it, for that appearence that your arrow as put a hole in them. I can make a the thingy for the end of the arrow, but is a script to swap the arrow possible to make, or even to make the gore blob appear on the persons mesh where the arrow hit ?

Yes, it should be possible, but not easy.

My best guess would be to put the script on the character to be hit, using OnHit as starterblock, and either the placeatme or moveto function. But to get this offset just right to make it appear right on the player, let alone near the wound, would be tricky, and probably require OBSE...

I didn't think it would be easy :(

 

I was just putting an idea out there, because I have been playing red dead redemption lately (the headshots are similar to a game called "sniper elite") and I was thinking... In oblivion, when you shoot someone with an arrow nothing happens to them, you remove the arrow and they fine. Thanks for the idea of how a script could work for it, but it is way over my head. If anyone is interested in making this I can make the mesh/texture. (Kudos to you Lucifer, thanks for giving a helpful suggestion as to how it could be done with oblivions engine)

I have been tinkering with it myself, but thanks to some software problems, I can't run obse.... Not allowing me to make the difference between normal - and headshots. If someone knows a way to somehow accomplish this without obse, I'll gladly take on the challenge :)
