vTemporalZEROv
I am not a noob, I make weapon mods and such in blender all the time, BUT.... damn armor you guys.. armor is just something that never works for me, I know enough of blender to make what looks like custom weapons and such (I never use custom textures since I do not know texture stuff yet), but I have tried a few times to make armors and even a helmet with a hat on it and a mask with a rebreather, looked fine, looked perfect in nifskope and geck and stuff, but my armor was always invisible ingame and the helmet was on right but the hat and everything else was like tilted 90ish degrees to the right so it looked stupid. Basically I would just like a simple walkthrough of "How could I EDIT (not make a new) a mesh in FNV via blender and get it to work no problems?" I have a beautiful idea to make merc heavy leather armor, but can never get it to work, any help? Will give a lil bit of credit in my release of the mod to whoever that can help me the best (possible multiple people)
dangman4ever
The hat at a 90 degree angle issue is related to a setting that you can't get into via GECK, You have to use FNEdit to edit the setting for that hat. I think it's a "head setting" or something. Google it or forum search for the answer as I can't remember off the top of my head. It's a pretty common issue. As for the invisible stuff, do note that the import and export settings for weapons and clothing/armor are different. Have you seen this guide before?:http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Fallout._Part_1
vTemporalZEROv
Yeah, its just that I am not making custom (new) clothing/armor, it is making a armor that already technically exists, just editing it and adding/removing stuff, all it was was vanilla meshes so I do not understand why it was invis. Also, try out this guide:http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45444/? Both guides helped me out with my own outfit mods. A few have already been released here on the Nexus  Edited September 4, 2014 by dangman4ever
