Melestav1
After spending a few days locating FO3, researching awesome mods, downloading everything and getting started installing I find my computer is one of the lucky ones that crashes from any form of Archive Invalidation (AII itself or FOMM's version). To the best of my limited understanding, this renders me completely unable to use even the simplest mod. I guess I am just confused as to how such a crippling issue has gone unresolved for so long. This computer is only 2 years old (running Windows XP with mediocre specs)--I've successfully run FO3 on a computer that was 3 years old at game release with mods and had no issue in the past. So, just to get some clarity from you mod gurus before I break down in dashed ambitions--I'm completely SOL with no recourse?

Try downloading a mod called "Archive Invalidation Invalidated" That MAY help. Just search for it.
Melestav1
Any form of AII (Archive Invalidation Invalidated or a built in one from a mod manager) causes the same issue.
Melestav1
After fiddling around with this all day I'm getting mixed results. I successfully ran FO3 once with FWE/its update and the first 3 DLC's with patch 1.5. Unfortunately, it now crashes if archive invalidation is active upon load. Interestingly, FWE is still active in game, however, the few custom textures/graphics I can check (perks) are disabled. I guess I'll try patch 1.4, but wouldn't this disable Broken Steel?
