Mutant shooter mod idea

Anyway - I got this idea recently. Maybe you know those Alien/Zombie Shooter games by Sigma Team. If not, here's short description:

 

Alien Shooter is isometric shooting game (kinda like Diablo, only with guns and aliens instead of swords and daemons). You walk through bunkers, laboratories and other open and closed spaces and complete some insignificant quests (activate this computer, open that door) while shooting hordes of aliens. Few versions of game exists (+ above mentioned Zombie Shooter alternation, with aliens replaced with zombies).

 

I've been thinking about doing something similar, only in 3D/First person view for some time now. And lately, I got this idea - Fallout could provide solid base for such thing. It already contains lot of static objects, so construncting various factories, bunkers and laboratories wouldn't be problem; it contains lot of guns, from simple handguns to minigun, laser weaponry, nuclear launcher and even orbital cannon and even enemies fit nicely - bunch of mutated humans and animals with Deathclaws and Super mutants as mini-bosses.

 

How would it work - No wasteland, probably not much exploring, questing and role-playing. This isn't supposed to be millionth real/balancing/graphics changing mod. You start somewhere and you navigate series of locations, with no going back policy. Locations would be full of increasingly difficult enemies. Large number of enemies. You kill them all and get money and ammo from them. You can spend money at vending terminals for ammo and weapons. At the end, you power up orbital cannon and save the world.

 

Changes in general gameplay - I would disable V.A.T.S, 3rd person camera, sneak mode and action cams. I am not sure how to manage inventory and experience/perks/skills yet, but time and some test would tell.

 

 

I think this should be possible and even not so difficult as some other mods. Thing is, I don't have time for it now and foreseeable future looks unpromising, so I am posting it here, so it might catch attention of some people, who would like the idea and would be willing to help.
