eldritch
(I posted this in a Bloodmoon thread, but I think it deserves its own thread here.): What happens if both your and your opponent have a reflect spell going at the same time? Does this set up a heterodyning effect on any other spell - e.g. I have 25% reflect, he has 60% reflect and I cast a fireball of 200 pts. Does it ricochet - he sends back 120 to me (60% of 200) and I send back 30 (25% of 120) back to him and he sends back 18 (60% of 30) etc. OR does the engine reflect back the difference once to the smallest reflect spell, in which case I would get 70 (60%-25% = 35%). (As you might have guessed I am not a mage - I prefer the simple but effective straight-ahead bash and slash techniques).
Marxist ßastard
The magnitude of a Reflect spell or enchantment is the percentile that it has to succeed, displayed as a percentile value. If you have Reflect 50 and an enemy casts a spell with Fire Damage 50 at you, the spell will be reflected back to the enemy approximately fifty percent of the time. It does not mean that you will recieve 25 points of Fire Damage and the enemy will recieve 25 points of Fire Damage. IIRC, reflected spells are always cast on the enemy, even if it has 100% reflect. eldritch
Is the percentile based on a random number generator (Monte Carlo style) or does the Luck attribute also enter in; i.e. higher Luck improves the odds?
Marxist ßastard
I don't think that luck is involved.
