Broken Steel done, now what?

Welllll imo you should've saved BS for last since it's the most epic.

OA should be done first because you cannot take equipment inside anyway and it gives you lots of decent early game gear.

Probably want to do MZ early or mid game because the aliens scale ridiculously high to your level (the shielded ones anyway).

Point lookout is fairly difficult with only one merchant to supply you, so save for mid game imo. However there are multiple quests/areas in point lookout so you don't need to do it all in one go compared to other DLCs. It might be worth a quick stop to get a few items, then save it for later.

The Pitt should probably be done mid game imo, because even though you have to play part of the game without equipment, the last half is much easier if you have a good gun or three of your own. But you don't want ot do it too late because the rewards from the steel mill and the ammo press are significant.

and yeah...would've done broken steel last...

since you've already beat BS, I honestly wouldn't even bother with OA. It's sort of tedious, so unless you REALLY REALLY want that stealth suit....

Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, Mothership Zeta Is the order they were created.

They meant to get harder in that order.

Broken Steel is the one that enables extra experience points and also adds a lot of content to the vanilla game I.e quests on water distributions.

See My Topic "Can the DLCs be played in any order?"

I agree on that order. Think of OA as something to do if you've managed to befriend the Outcasts, else it wouldn't really make alot of sense. Then BS, then Point Lookout for the "Man you've singel handedly killed off a bunch of Enclaves, why don't you take a well deserved vacation to Point Lookout?" style/feel. Mothership Zeta oughtta be among the last things you do 'cus RP wise, you'd probably put a bullet in your head after that point.

Despite all the work put into MZ, it is easily my least favorite mod. I just hate the premise.

However idk about you, but playing level 23-24 made the shielded aliens super tough for me. Playing with FWE, still needed to dump bucketfuls of bullets into the shileded aliens (nonshielded ones die to dartgun to the temple). The fact that aliens have more hitpoints than overlords at this point made MZ even more annoying for me.
