hrobertson
I find Wynn can be useful in the very early stages, pending when you get her and like said above what kind of player your gonna be. Aside from buffs I find her as useful as a bull in a china closet.
CrapsterZ
I only use Wynne to A) cast buffs when I come to a point where Morrigan can't support casting and buffing together with her mana pool and B) spec her as an SH/AW and send her off to tank while I stay far far away from her ranting (and hopes that she dies) or... leave her to rot in the tent. I personally can't believe that there isn't an option in her personal quest where you spam Vessel of the Spirit till she drops dead. (that'd I'd HAVE TO see.) or maybe have Jowan use her blood to send a mage into the Fade. ("Well, you see, Wynne, since you keep saying you're going to die soon... Might as well help me go in the Fade and get some action with a desire demon that is a pedophile too, right? It's a death worth more than your life.") Or "Jowan, I'm going to let you out, but please kill this old hag for me. Thanks." Now I kinda wish Wynne had been the one outside the repository instead of Irving so I could get Jowan to kill her during his escape... (I need the mages so I never kill her myself... and killing her is so much more fun that just letting her stay at the Circle.)
Paxan_1
I think Wynne is something like a (to) good conscience. Sure i don't really like to talk to her in the game, it is always like she wants to criticise your actions. The last one that has annoyed me was criticism on my behaviour to Leli. She wanted me to break up with her...I'm old enough for my own decisions, and if it is okay for Leli to have a little romance together she should respect it and keep her mouth closed. But on the other hand i'm used to have her in my party because of her healing abilities. I think it is a really good creation for an old wise mage character. ell46
I found out I can leave her at the circle and pick her up for the end game if I still need her  that made my day when I found out, but the camp is looking very empty, it's a shame they didn't limit you to X party members but offered more choice, still Oghren will be along soon he'll fill the gap. I've followed DarkWolfe's advice and asked if she can be added to the mod that allows you to kick that lippy little git in the lake.

I hate it to be alone...But i prefer to talk to Leli and Alistair, so she is just waiting and doing nothing  The limit of party members sucks, if you ask me. I always want to have Leli and Alistair with me, but it is useful to have Sten and Morri with me. Oh, and of course i want to have my little dog on my side :)Ya Wynne because of the healing... (i'm lvl 9 atm...)
ell46
You don't need Wynne for healing that's what health potions are for  the reason my camps so empty is I can't stand Leliana either I leave her in the pub in Lothering. I always take Alistair and swap between the others depending what mood I'm in for entertainment as we go along.

I need hundreds of them for staying alive...I'm glad that i could buy all the stuff for making them at the Dalish Camp. That costs me a sack of gold..., i can't afford that... Really  I wonder why that is. I didn't use any when I played on easy and normal I just let them die if the fight is almost over. I've tried using a tactic slot so they can heal themselves if it gets too low, but they just go on a bender and I'm not paying for that.

Yeah, i'm a bad fighter :( That's why i always need a strong man in front of me (i'm really good in hiding  ) . But i try to give healing skills to Morrigan so i can replace Wynne with her. I always get Morrigan to put the strongest or mages into crushing prison any spell that puts them out of action or incapacitates them while I finish them off is fine by me  I hate spending money especially on potions.
