I click to download WinZip 9.0 SR-1 Setup pops up. I download that to a file that i can later find. When i try to unzip it and search for it i doesnt appear. :( :( I'm sorry if i havent given a detailed description or spelled any words wrong. I'm really sorry if this has been asked, i could'nt find it under search.
mezlo
Sounds like WinZip is either corrupt or not fully installed. I would recommend going to http://www.winzip.com and downloading the newest version and seeing if that resolves your problem. Mezlo

I figured out that my version is v10.0 i think while the other on is 9.0. i dont know how that would affect a thing. Oh and i forgot to mention that the mod i was trying to use was "Anvil Merchant Galley HouseBoat" by Don Prestoni. This has happened on many mods that i have tried. mezlo
That mod is actually a RAR file rather than a ZIP file. Since WinZIP does not support the RAR format, I recommend downloading http://www.rarsoft.com/rar/wrar36b3.exe and installing it. Hopefully that will clear up the problem you are having. Mezlo Sorry for not getting back so soon, i was reading some very long topics on another forum and forgot about the time.THanks A lot!!! I'm very gratefull to you for helping me, i was a bit confused when winzip popped up. I've done all of the necessary requirments (i think) and have up loaded all of the mods that i thought were corrupt. Is it true that you have to pay for the services of RAR? I'm on a budget (not having a job and all (being 14)) and my parents don't trust what they cant see. Again i thank you.
mezlo
Just like WinZIP, WinRAR has a 30-day trial after which you are required to purchase it to continue using it legally. But, also like WinZIP, it will continue to work after the 30 days but will keep telling you to buy it. Another alternative program is IZArc, which is free and handles both ZIP and RAR formats. I personally don't care much for it's interface, but it is available at http://www.izarc.org/ if you wish to look into it. Mez
