Change weapons while attacking (without using hotkeys)

Hello, is there a way of changing weapons while in attack mode?

 

I know I can change weapons using hotkeys at any time, but I sometimes forget to hotkey new weapons. To change from the inventory screen I must rereat from combat first.

 

The bashed patch tweaks allow everything else (repair, alchemy etc) during combat but not weapon changing unless hotkeyed. Thanks.
