TNPenguin
Hey again guys! :) I've just completed DaO and I started to play Awakening :) But I want to start it as a different char not a warrior.. And I'm wondering between BloodMage, Arcane Warrior or Shapeshifter.. Bloodmage - I use hp for spells insteand mana, Whats good on that? :DArcane Warrior - I coudnt say anythink bout him, didnt understand him.. I tried to read some guides but all they say is that they use armor spells.. And I readed that he does alot of dmg, but how? I tried to play him but all I could do is use 1-2 spells cuz I activated my armor spells like guides said.. And hitted with the sword for 40-50 dmg.. Shapeshifter.. Hmm, He got 3 transformations and are they usefull? Every transformation got bout 2 skills and that's it.. I dont see I will ever use those transformations... EDIT : Or what about a ranger? I just unlocked my companion Howe's son, and playing him atm.. Well it looks a bit weak.. I do like mm 40-50dmg max with a shot and its slow.. spets21
Bloodmage - I use hp for spells insteand mana, Whats good on that? :D BM is a very good class i use this classs as a supporter/controller to hold mobs and gain advantage over the enemies i also combine this with a healer class since blood mages only require a small amount of Mana to cast spells and they use Hp . stats would be Magic/Constitution/willpower Arcane Warrior - I coudnt say anythink bout him, didnt understand him.. I tried to read some guides but all they say is that they use armor spells.. And I readed that he does alot of dmg, but how? Arcane Warriors are a very good tank the heavier the armor the better as it ads more damage /DMG = magic the higher the magic the better the damage you deal.Magic = 1 spell power that is the ratio you get. as Ive said Arcane Warriors are better tank than pure warriors Simply because of the sustained abilities AW can use. In the expansion i like to use Healer/AW/Battle Mage . stats would be magic Will power but more on magic the higher the magic/spell power the better. as for rangers they are the Best DD in game i prefer to use critical based attacks on my archer I use AIM + Weak Point & rapid aim Equips
TNPenguin
So.. Aw is a tank.. Not my type ;d Hmm.. BM "very good class" Yea thats what all says but still cannot understand him.. Maybe I will be Healer/BM/ and battlemage after i get to 22lvl ;dCan u tell me which spells to learn? Primary etc.. ;d Edit: Tried Ranger.. Mm the best DD in the game? Strange.. My archer was very slow, and critted only for 60dmg.. The only skill that was good was Arrow of Slaying(or something like that) It hits 250+ :)
CrapsterZ
You're not going to see very big numbers from damage, DA isn't that kind of game. It has a heavier emphasis on tactics than just plain doing "big numbers" on your opponents.
OldBook3
Blood Mage: You get access to the best Crowd Control and Damage Over Time spell in the game. You get access to a spell that lets you turn your toughest enemies into temporary allies and forces them to kill their own minions. You get a modal spell that lets you burn HP instead of Mana; use it after you've already burned through all of your mana, thus giving you a much larger pool to cast with before you need to start chugging potions. You get a so-so spell that lets you heal yourself by hurting an ally. Arcane Warrior: You get the best protection spell in the game, a spell that turns you into a fairly good melee fighter, and the option to use all the armor that your Mage normally has to sell or pass on to companions. You can still blast away with spells and staff, or switch to sword and shield and hack away when you feel like it. Shapeshifter: Crap unless your entire build is dedicated to it, but if you do build everything around it the shapes are good melee fighters and very good for boss fights. Not as powerful as a really well designed BM/AW, but still good. Shines when you start adding mods. Spirit Healer: Keep the rest of the party alive and fighting. A good choice for a pure caster Blood Mage or Arcane Warrior Paladin type.
