chipjamieson
Hey all, I posted about this a few years ago and have since decided to continue my Fallout 3 gaming. Here's the problem. I became concerned with things disappearing from my fridge at my Megaton house. At the time, I messed around with console commands (specifically IsOwner, SetOwnership, etc) and I seem to have damaged ALL fridges in the game. They do not open when "E" is pressed (in general). This is mostly with fridges that indicate they are "Empty" when moused over. Some fridges with existing items seem to open OK. Oddly, the "Activate" command will open these broken fridges (most of the time). Can anyone help me repair the fridges in the game. I can supply screenshots, base ID #s, etc. but I am not sure what you need. I can open GECK (but have not learned how to do things with it) and can supply screenshots of what is seen there. (The weird thing is, I see no object named "Fridge" in the Geck list for a particular interior building). Any help is appreciate. Let me know what you need to see to resolve this puzzle. OH - I'm using mods (obviously) but I don't think they are to blame. However, I will do a check by stripping my mods out first. Yours in mutation, Lustvig (Hero of the People!) chipjamieson
Whoops. Well, never mind. Now I feel silly. I simply uninstalled all mods that affect household/interior stuff. The fridges then worked. And then reloaded mods one at a time. It turned out to be the "House Terminal" mod that let's you shut down your robots. Note when I did this I was at Regulator HQ testing the fridge there. Lesson: something goes haywire, test the mods first by uninstalling and reinstalling and testing in between.
