Malchik
I have been producing potions since born in the sewers of the imp city. The most common is restore fatigue as just about every foodstuff will get you this. However suddenly all such potions are weighing 5 units. (Previously they were 0.2 or something.) Even if I make them out of ingredients that weigh 0.2 the result is 5. I imagine the reason is that somewhere I created the potion from an item that actually weighed 5 and that managed to get set as the norm. What I would like to know is how to reset the potion weight to something sensible?
Vicrry
I forget where, but I read something about this. If I remember correctly the secret is to empty all potions with the same effect from inventory and make one from light ingredients. Your problem should also work the other way, 5 lb. making .2 lb potions. Edit: Ah, I've found it again. It's in the Alchemy FAQ over at GameFAQs.com
Cyborg16
I found this. Basically the first potion with one effect you make gets set as the default (until you get more aparatus/better skill and can make a better potion), and all further potions with that effect are identical. It means you can have lots of light potions using primarily heavy ingredients or lots of heavy potions using primarily light ingredients --- a bit silly but it helps stacking. Still, a lot of items have very unrealistic weights anyway (e.g. torches!!).
