Can change Morrigan/Wynne's gender?

It kinda depends. If you're using windows, then print screen only stores the image to clip board. Which is a temporary memory allotment in your RAM. So there is no actual location for it on your hard drive.

What you would need to do after tapping prt scr is open up a photo editing program and then choose file/new. Once you have the new file open you then paste edit/paste the contents of the clipboard (your screenshot) into the new picture. (some programs have the option to create a new file from the clipboard, but it all just depends on what software you have and are using).

If you've never installed a photo editing program, you can use MS Paint. Just click your windows icon on the taskbar or your windows key on the kybrd and type paint in the search box.

 

If you are using a screenshot software, then where it saves the pictures to, depends on the program. Some of them store them in a special folder inside the program's installation folder C:/ program files/ whatevername

and some put them into documents/my pictures

 

the override folder depends on how many mods you've got installed. the more mods you have, the bigger it's going to be. If you Dont already have an override folder, you can just go ahead and create one (tho you should have one, if you have the toolset). You can go to documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core then go to file/new/folder then just name it override (with no capital O).

 

Yeah, that is a REALLY strange issue. I'd say that its almost a botched installation. Tho if it's running smoothly so far, dont fix what isnt broken. :wink:

Tell you what.... it'll only take a sec, but I've got some DVD's burning backups atm, and I dont wanna botch up the burns. So when that gets done, I'll edit the wynn.chr file for ya, and if it's small enough post it here. If it's not small enough, I'll upload it to megaupload.com and paste a link for you.

 

LOL in the meantime I guess you could practice your screenshotting so you can show a pic of your new wynn aftwards :grin:

Ugh. I messed up. Its actually her utc file that you have to edit to male, not her .chr file. I did that a long time ago, and for some reason, I got things mixed up. I've edited my earlier posts to reflect that. REALLY sorry about that. (grumbles at self about being off his game lately!)

Tho, its actually a good thing, as the GD'd toolchit wouldnt let me export her .chr file!! :mad:

 

I attached it, tho I had to zip it up, the forums wouldnt allow me to attach .utc file. So you'll need to extract it first, then drop it into your documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core/override folder. Now... I would never intentionally send anybody something bad. But... I ALWAYS recommend that you use a virus scanner on ANYTHING that ANYBODY sends you over the internet. (They might have something nasty on their system, and not know it, and it could spread that way).

After you DL the file, right click on it. There should be an option to scan the file, depending on your A/V program.

 

Afterward, right click on it again, and choose something to the effect of extract here. (again, varies by what program you use to handle .zip files). IF there's no option for that, you may need a program to handle .zips. I recommend 7zip (www.7zip.com) since it can handle most any format of compressed files.

 

Now... I'll also mention this. With WYNN for some unknown reason to me... will NOT show as male/female head in an existing game. Zev did, when I tried him female/male head. But wynn doesn't. She looked completely normal. :confused: :wacko:

This threw me off at first, so I loaded up a savegame BEFORE the tower and went thru till she showed up. I wasnt using a male headmorph, so she did look like a male/female head.

hrm. yeah, thats usually what they look like if it's an already spawned character.

It looks like the morph applied correctly, but the utc didn't.

I'll take a look at it again, after I get up. I might have accidentally sent you the wrong one.

Ok, well, I checked the DL file that I posted, and it IS set to have her as male. I downloaded it again, from here, loaded it up in the toolset, and changed it to use filename wynn.mor instead of the genfl_wynn.mor name.

dropped a morph into the override folder, renamed it, and tested.

 

btw- that morph is located here in case you like it and want to use it :wink:

If that doesnt make it work right, then perhaps it is just that particular cutscene. Or perhaps you have seen her before in game?

I realize that the male head i made went onto the Wynne in Ostagar, but the Wynne I picked up in the Circle of the Magi Tower has no head =O

Thanks, I saw that morph, and just had to grab it to use :wink:

the reason for that is because in the new file changed the name of the facemorph that she's using, in an attempt to fix the bug. it doesnt use hf_genfl_wynn.mor anymore. it uses wynn.mor. So change your morph file to wynn.mor and see how it goes :wink:

I'm only gonna say ONE thing about your choice of morphs that you used. Man... its gonna be HARD to listen to all those lectures that the character gives, coming from a face like that. :wink:

We need a mod that makes her lecture less!
